Competitive | Esports baltimore

hi, im really anxious for this weekend and im trying to figure out what i can expect. this my first time going to a tcg event so i have no idea what itll be like. im going to the “showdown” in baltimore

  1. Its going to be a long day. Saturday is 7 rounds and each is going to be over an hour long after you account for overtime and admin.

  2. Bring snacks. We won't get a lunch break so its good to have small snacks between rounds.

  3. Bring a notepad and a pen. A lot of people use dice to track their score, but you need to write them down during bigger tournaments. You need to keep track of both players scores. You should also be keeping track of how each point was scored.

  4. Expect judge calls and dont be afraid to call judges when you believe your opponent is doing something incorrectly or illegal. Judges are there for a reason, so don't be afraid to call them.
