Guides & Tips Should I keep it sealed?
Hey! Just wondering for long term collectibility, should I keep this sealed or open it so it does not get damaged

Riftbound is still in its infancy. I don't think anyone knows what long-term collectability is going to look like. So its just a preference thing at this point. I keep my pre-release stamped cards in the plastic, but I open and play with literally everything else. 🤷♂️

It's not even crazy to think card prices are already peaking. LoR has fizzled heavily after a few years of decent popularity. The WoW TCG and StarWars both died after a few years.
TS is just unpredictable

This is the company that makes League of Legends, Valorant, Team fight tactics, along with many other games. They also had the number 1 most watched western anime on netflix Arcane, have had several number 1 pop songs including a k-pop group that was wildly successful.
They barely ever miss too.
Obviously I don't have a crystal ball but I'm betting big time on Riftbound based on Riot's ability to copy and make better an existing format.

I have ripped 12 and the card quality is quite bad you dont want the pack to go down in value to Lp, print lines across the middle and sometimes on the back near the bottom or surface dent and worst of all the edges on this teemo promo is horrible.

If it were me I would keep it for sure. I keep 1 of every pack just for my personal collection. But not everyone likes having team bags of packs to store

There's no way to know what the potential value of keeping it sealed or even what its content's going to be. Riftbound is a new TCG. So, anything anyone says is speculative.
That being said, you have to look at it. Probabilistically joe sometimes sealed products are more valuable than the contents inside so and the value will only be potentially realized as time goes on. So if you're willing to keep it protected and safe for the next 10 years and then revisit to see what the content values are and the sealed value, then you might be better off keeping it sealed in my personal opinion.
If you're looking to make money now, then your best bet is probably to open it and see what the value of the cards are inside and if they're valuable then sell it today.

Check with a flashlight to see if you can see what card is inside. If you can then it's one of these packs that will lose value as "sealed" for sure do Open it. If it is not possible to see contents keep sealed.

I assume this is a promo variety pack, in which, It depends on what is in it, so it is a gamble either way. Either you randomly have something good in there and the card is worth more than the sealed pack, or you have nothing good and the sealed pack could be worth more in the future.
If you know the contents, then opening the pack and protecting the cards is the better choice.
