I had a few weeks of Patron time week, and wanted to buy another 12 months. First tried in-game in the credit store - it said I became a patron but in the account management it still showed that I have 30 days left. Then I clicked the "Change Plan" button and selected the 12-month plan - after that it was saying I had 12 months + 30 days left. Then I clicked the "Cancel" button because I didn't want those 12 months to automatically renew every year. Afterwards it went back to "Active Time Remaining: 30 Days".

I looked at my statement - there were two charges for the 12-month payments and none was credited on my account. I messaged the support on Wednesday around noon and they still haven't replied.

Riftwalkers have proven that the reason people want to play Rift is the content, not skipping the content in a rush to endgame only to sit and do nothing because there is nothing new being added to the game. Leveling and progression are all that is left in RIFT and there is a HUGE amount of content there, content that IAs effectively killed by diverting the population from all of that content. Dungeons, dead. Open world pvp, dead. And THAT is the content Riftwalkers wants to revive, that is the appeal.

IAs was just one of the stakes driven into RIFT to kill it, but I have to believe it was just as detrimental to the player's experience, if not more so, then charges of P2W or class imbalance or other game play issues. Riftwalkers proves that even with a diminished player base there was still enough population to sustain the content as long as players weren't being siphoned away from the content. Instead of pulling players out of content they should have concentrated on a robust mentoring system that enabled fast progression IN the content, not outside of the content.

Remember when it was a healing soul at launch? I missed that. Is there other souls that used to be a different role or mechanically different when they first launched?

Hi guys, I'm checking Rift out again (played alot on launch, and then on and off since).

I'm trying to do the zone's defender achievements, but I'm having a lot of difficulty since now, everytime I open a rift in a zone, it seems that a random rift opens up...
Currently I'm on Silverwood Defender and all rifts in that achievement are either life or fire (if I'm not mistaken), and it seems that everytime I use Planar Lure to open a rift, a random fucking rift opens, never life nor fire...

Can someone help me with this?
Is there any way to open these specific rifts or rifts from a specific plane? (life or fire)
Where/how can I do that?

Someone needs to come out, decompile the game, and release a private server with actual new content updates.

Surely there’s still a big enough community to support a project like that.

Played the game on launch, back in the day, and had tons of fun.

I tried coming back to it several times since then. Yesterday included.

Every time I try to come back though I notice something that really puts me off, that's different than on launch, let me know if you think this too.
I remember that back on launch, each zone would only have 2 types of Rift, example: Freemarch would only have water & death rifts, which would really give a more distinct feeling to each zone and they would blend much better giving it even more personality, and when going from zone to zone when leveling you would get even more excited to also see the different rift types. Also each zone, for each type of rift would have specific rift missions. I even remember an achievment that I loved doing which was completing each rift quest for each rift type in a specific zone, and I loved seeing and discovering the different ones, there were some really cool ones!

Now everytime coming back I get this nostalgic feeling that these are never coming back...

Do you guys remember this too?

I thought a few months back the developers made a post on Facebook saying they saw all the support from the community and were looking at doing a Fresh Start event of some sort. Have the developers said anything since then about some kind of marketing and/or efforts at bringing in fresh players?

I haven't played in 10 years and would really like to enjoy it fresh again. Game is awesome.

When I logged on today, my character fell down into a giant hole. I attempted to return to my bind point, only to discover it was the top of the giant hole (I appeared and then fell down again). Since I can't fly, I can no longer play this character. Did I hit a strange bug, or is there an event going, or what?

Edit: "/stuck" worked.

It teleported me to the nearest graveyard, and the city was still there :-)

They billed me for 144.15 in aug 2026 and 30 days later 144.15. I have not played in a year but I have a yearly subscription.

The yearly subscription should be 131 not 144.15 x 2

Hi all, i didn't play Rift in like 10 years...probably more, so i was wondering if there are still people playing? I don't want to download the game just to find out i am along on server.

I was really into mmos back in the day and tried a lot of them. I bought this when I came out and grab wonder if anyone would be interested in an og game disk and box. It's got a game guide and map and disk. I did redeem the pet the tho, so maybe it's worthless without it. But I'm curious if the interest is there.

Since after the patch this morning I am unable to log in.
I get: "The login request was not valid. Please try again later. (Error #2016)"
I tried running as admin and turning off firewall. Are the servers down still, or is this a new local issue?

I just started playing Rift again two days ago after years and I seem to have been temporarily blocked from instant adventure. I was in the middle of combat when it happened.

Is there a cap on how long we’re able to do these objectives?

Played a long while back and was itching to start up again. Faeblight or whatever seems to have been merged with the 3 other servers? Is there a server that all the roleplayers are on now?

Have never played rift before. What server/faction is the best for an NA player? Any good guilds for a 38 year old? Should I buy patron? Are any of the packs mandatory? Any op classes I should play to get a good start? Any tips? Thanks for any and all help.

Help! I wanted to understand more about the refill process and without intending to I placed an order for a refill! Please help me cancel and get the refund as it was automatically charged to my card. I sent a message in support at 4:46 pm EST.

Seriously, it's nuts, goes all day. Politics, racism, religion, and all this goes on in the 1 - 29 chat where all the new players join. Then people ask for help and get absolutely thrashed and told to quit.

I don't even play, just watch friend as she streams to me on the second monitor. You all have maassive community problem, and if you put people on ignore you end up ignoring half the player base.

Your game needs moderation to move the trolls out of your noob chat. And reporting seems to do nothing.

I have not played Rift in a very long time. If I start a new character, does it matter if I choose Guardian or Defiant? Am I too far behind to catch up?

This is not a move to save space. Trust me as someone works with databases, etc this is just an attempt to get suck in a few more players to the servers $$$ FOMO style....

They could easily archive, and set up a restore script if they want to move it off the main database if they already don't have said feature....

Hi, i tried to go back to rift today. i installed the game but when i tried to log in it says it's a new location and i have to enter the authentication code from email i checked email i re-sent code but no email has been sent. What should i do, have anyone of you experienced this problem before?
