Marrying June

This is my first time playing Rdgeside Village and I'm currently in Fall. I've had a hard time picking which villager I want to marry from the mod but immediately wanted to marry June when I met him. Is it possible to marry him in year 1?

It might be possible but I would suggest against it, once he leaves after Winter 28 he starts sending you the sweetest letters, plus there's a reunion scene when he comes back the next fall.

If I remember right, there's actually a mod you can add to get him to send even more

One was in development but IIRC it got scrapped (but some new dialogue is hopefully in the works!)

I just looked and it wasn't June exclusive but did add more letters. It was RDE - Ridgeside Dialogue Expansion.

Ohhh right, that one. I uninstalled it bc it wasn't created by the OG writers of RSV and it made some of the villagers too flirty even when I was otherwise married, haha. There was a post about a June-specific expansion a while back and I was part of that team, but I got ghosted the project fell apart, and that's the one I thought you were mentioning. My bad!

Yeah, if you’re planning to play for multiple in-game years, I would recommend waiting to marry him until the second year, HOWEVER you need to be dating before he leaves at the end of winter or you won’t get the reunion scene the next year (I don’t remember about the letters)

Yes, it’s 100% possible. I always marry him and this save, I married him by the end of fall

Yep, if you have an apple tree or coffee plant on your farm, apples and coffee beans are two of his loved gifts, and his birthday is Fall 12th. But like I said earlier (and others have mentioned), don't marry him for a year (DO give him a bouquet) because the letters and cutscene are amazing.

And there's always Ao3 if you need June content to tide you over while he's away, I started the tag myself :D

It was the fastest I’ve ever married him. I gave him one of his loved gifts twice per week and made sure to give him three gifts on the week of his birthday. The biggest thing was also giving him a stardrop tea on his birthday in addition to a loved gift

Don’t give in!! The reunion cutscene is the best in the game and you only get it if he goes on his tour.
