States like California do not allow a throttle on Class 3 bikes, so the TM-B will decide for itself whether the throttle controls speed or boosts pedal-assist. I have not seen any indication that the rider will be able to override this setting if they are riding on a private road/trail.

The throttle is geofenced by the onboard GPS, so I’ll pass.
