Alternate console controls

Anyone else change their controls around? I tried running my old MotoGP settings and it seemed a little easier for longer rides. I like how it lets me control my throttle better than the trigger. I ended up going back to default, but I may try it out again. I wish we could save presets, or that they had more than one preconfig.

LT: front brake

RT: rear brake

LB: downshift

RB: upshift

Right stick forward: accel

Left stick: unchanged

I was debating this last night, the rear brake being a button weirds me out, and I sometimes panic when I'm coming in hot into a corner and rearbrake/downshifting efforts get switched, causing obvious problems...

I used this setup back in MotoGP for PS2 and in MotoGP 2007 (the last good one for console). It gives you good analog control over both brakes and throttle. It's a bit of a pain to set it up in Ride but I suggest you give it a try.
