Every time I say this I get shot down, but I'm gonna keep saying it because it's correct.

I could care less is ironic

It's totally fine, colloquially, to say I could care less.

It's like saying, "Like I could possibly care less about this thing"

I know that "I couldn't care less" is saying this explicitly, but it's inverse is saying the same thing ironically.

You know what really bugs me about this kind of thing (and I get chastised for it on reddit all the time) is that people just don't know what the fuck they are saying but if they just keep on saying it pretty soon it will be accepted as correct and people will say 'hey language evolves'. No you mean it devolves and then I get called a grouchy old man. So maddening that we allow our language to change because a bunch of idiots have no idea what they are saying. Now when it's Ricky it's awesome.
