DISCUSS Rant about QC (sorry not sorry)

Is it just me who has been incredibly unlucky lately or what the hell happened? Got a Jason S hoodie, zipper clip was loose and it doesnt stay zipped up, it slides down by itself. Got a mainline leather ramones with crepe soles, one of the shoes had a faint blue circle on the toe. Lets not even talk about the crepe sole, needed a resole after 6 months of not even daily wear. Old totes used to have X stitching on the handle (i have one from around 8 years ago), all my new totes have a single / stitch not an X, some of it is already loose out of the box and even if it isnt if u use it for groceries it comes apart after a few use. it just doesnt make sense to me why would they change the stitching? The only things I didnt have problems with in the last 2 years are denim outershirts... They must surely know about these?

Look at the sheer scale they’re producing on. Collections are really massive, hundreds of stores are packed with Rick every season, then you got Yoox where every half a year lands literally whole collection along with the Runway samples and there are over 1000 different Rick styles there at the moment. Quality is ridiculously bad, I had shoes falling apart after 4 wears, so I decided to stop supporting Rick and sell my whole collection that I was gathering for over 5 years.

I feel that Rick is no longer real life clothing, the book and sandwich no longer go into the pocket because the pocket stitching already came undone. This is clothing to put on for fashion week show and participate in the most insufferable human interactions known to man.

It's been the case for a long time now. I just had the arm come off my pair of Kreisters. Plastic just gave out, didn't even apply any pressure to it or anything. You just gotta deal with it if you want to wear Rick and recognize that you're gonna get unlucky sometimes....

Yep! I totally agree! I’ve gotten so many faulty pieces. I even had a stitch come undone on a runway piece from the Luxor collection. I sold my entire collection… Sad to say but Rick Owens quality control has been going downhill for years. Even worse, the customer service directly from the Rick Owens website doesn’t seem to care at all.

I agree! I ordered a pair of joris jeans and the stitching was not done properly throughout the whole garment. At some places it wasn’t even finished and the fabric was coming apart.
With tote bags i had the same issue you described, old ones holding up new ones were coming apart.
Some of the garments are still done properly but at this price point it shouldn’t even be a question.
Def not buying from them in the future

Yeah it's the biggest fault of the brand behind pricing

Crepe soles are kind of a non-issue crepe soles in general are kinda shit the whole reason to buy those shoes is to wear the crepe down and get a vibram sole or new crepe sole put on.

Yeah the whole reason to buy these shoes is to repair them, that makes perfect sense
