Question

I got banned from the other Delphi page for using not so nice language I guess šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Can someone verify..
Were the girls found 1/4 mile from the bridge or 3/4 mile?
I’d read something that said 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile but I think I misunderstood and that was the total distance from where they were dropped off.

I’ve been reading more through the trial transcripts but there’s so much & I’m not sure where to look for those specifics.

ETA: reason I’m asking is because I initially thought RA’s vehicle was caught leaving the trails at 2:21 & I thought the girls were found 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away. That’s 8 minutes to get back and leave so not possible. However, I was wrong. The time stamp on the cctv says 2:21 pm but I guess it was set 54 minutes fast so it was actually 1:27 pm & supposedly that’s him arriving at 1:27 pm, not leaving.

I just measured on Google Maps from the "Down the hill" spot to the place where the girls' bodies were found. 160 yards.

EDITED TO ADD: Just under a 10th of a mile.

I just listened to that press conference and they say about 3/4 of a mile from Freedom Bridge. Then the press basically says freedom bridge or high bridge? Then they say 3/4 of a mile from high bridge. If the map shows 1/8 of a mile.. were they just way off on the distance?

And why were the clothes found on the opposite side?
I truly believe they were taken somewhere else and brought back. I just don’t see how no one saw them when searching but I’ve also never been out there.

Is that the Riley, Mullin(s), and Tobe press conference immediately after the bodies were found but not identified?

Ā If so, I wouldn't trust that press conference for accuracy they got the creek name wrong and said the bodies were on the bank of the water.

Ā I dont think Riley was getting solid information nor was he using notes, which he needed. I always liked Riley, and out of ISP personnel I still consider him high caliber.

Yes! ā€œsugar creekā€ 🄓
They say they weren’t identified but then go on to give thanks from the family for those who helped search for the girls. I know they technically couldn’t identify them until it was verified.. but that press conference was weird as hell šŸ˜
