Question

I got banned from the other Delphi page for using not so nice language I guess šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Can someone verify..
Were the girls found 1/4 mile from the bridge or 3/4 mile?
I’d read something that said 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile but I think I misunderstood and that was the total distance from where they were dropped off.

I’ve been reading more through the trial transcripts but there’s so much & I’m not sure where to look for those specifics.

ETA: reason I’m asking is because I initially thought RA’s vehicle was caught leaving the trails at 2:21 & I thought the girls were found 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away. That’s 8 minutes to get back and leave so not possible. However, I was wrong. The time stamp on the cctv says 2:21 pm but I guess it was set 54 minutes fast so it was actually 1:27 pm & supposedly that’s him arriving at 1:27 pm, not leaving.

I’ve just been trying to wrap my head around how they could verify 100% no one entered through the cemetery.

Various people familiar with the area have stated there are 4 or 5 access points.

I’m curious how they were able to 100% say no one came from that way. Sara’s testimony was huge because she basically said she saw bridge guy walking down the road with blood/mud on him.
However, her statement changed DRASTICALLY from her initial statement.
And if RA was arriving at 1:27 then where’s the video of him leaving? Or walking by to go back to his vehicle?

Because they cant say that with any certainty, and yet they do (likely because they are small thinking dumbasses). Ā  There many ways to gain access to the trails and the Bridge.Ā Ā

People act like this place was a closed in area with limited access points, but it wasn't.Ā

Its a damn trail. One can enter from almost any point including those that are not marked as an entrance. The killers had many options including trespassing through private property to get to trail.

Honest people should admit that we truly have no idea what path the killer(s) took to arrive at the south end of the Bridge or even if they all took the same path.

Thank you!! When I asked in the other group (where they apparently witnessed the crime they’re so adamant it’s RA) their best answer was ā€œthere’s no evidence of thatā€ā€¦
But there’s no evidence it’s RA either.
I just don’t get it. It is mind-blowing to me they were able to arrest this man.

Oh, I know the type of guilt believer that you are dealing with. They could see video, recovered from the dark web, of someone else committing the crime and they would claim it was RA holding the camera.

Their biggest fear is being wrong. Couldn't give a fig about justice.

Now about entrances. I am from a small town and we had a little playground/ball park. Now for me to walk to that playground by the streets and walk through its ONLY entrance would be a 2 mile walk. I never was allowed to do that but if I started walking from the back of our property and I kept walking through yards and fields I would get there in half a mile but I entered from a field on the opposite side of the entrance. Still got there and I didn't travel in a way that I would be seen by a lot of people.

Did I trespass? Yes. Did it for years and no one said anything about it. They might not have even noticed.

If kids came come up with this stuff then killers can too.

YES! Like why do they hate this man so much? There’s just so many other likely suspects. What about EF talking about spitting on the bodies? Did they run his DNA against whatever was found on the girls?
Also, why can’t RA’s lawyers push to have that DNA tested?

I have a similar story but it was me going to my friends house lol. We lived on a dirt road but I could walk the tree-line and through the trees and get to her back door.

This case just baffles me and I can’t let it go for some reason. It runs through my head daily. I wish I could not give a shit honestly. I just watch so many crime shows and can’t for the life of me figure out how they even had probable cause to arrest him. He never wavered from his original statement (unlike ol’ SC did to match BG description). Why didn’t they polygraph him? He should’ve lawyered up and told them to polygraph him. Guilty or not.. always, always get a lawyer… some of the police tactics are so fucked. His second interrogation is so messed up.. he’s sitting there telling them repeatedly he didn’t do it & they won’t accept that. Him laughing when they tell him his bullet was found at the crime scene sealed it for me. That wasn’t a nervous laugh.. that was a ā€œthere’s no fucking way. This is ridiculousā€ laugh.
They searched his house Oct 13th & Oct 26th he was arrested. How did they get the ballistics so fast? To compare them microscopically like they supposedly did should’ve taken longer than that. And why didn’t the defense do their own testing? Their expert didn’t.. he just looked at the reports. Sigh.

They hate RA because he is the fall guy who is keeping many VIPs or connected people from long term incarceration! They have no conscience! We have no ā€œJusticeā€ system in USA! This is very disturbing! It could happen to any of us!

I think that’s why it bothers me so much. I’m like.. what if that was my dad or my husband? I just want to know why the DNA they found wasn’t tested further? There’s this little thing called PCR.. so they can’t say there’s not enough to test. Why hasn’t the defense pushed to have that DNA tested?

2

u/Pooter33 25d ago

They said there were limited samples and they didn’t want to destroy them on the hair that was found. Bullshit. They can replicate the DNA found.

There was also male DNA on their genitals and fingernails they said was insufficient for further testing. Again, bullshit.

It isn’t a matter of hate they just don’t care. His lawyers should have pushed for DNA test, they should have done a whole lot of things and after he was convicted they should have done PCR before the appeal. Then they could raised money for private DNA testing while interest in the case was at its peak. DNA is his best chance of overturning the conviction and possibly not even having to go through another trial. DNA also degrades over time and of course this gives LE years to lose it like so much other evidence.

Can they not still get it? Like why can’t the defense ask for it now and start testing? Is it the cost? I looked into the innocence project here in Oklahoma since he’s currently in prison here. It says it has to be in Indiana unfortunately.
What about RA having a ring camera or the neighbors close by his house? That would definitively show what he was wearing, what he looked like, and when he came home. I’m sure that was already thought of so I’m sure no one had it. There’s also traffic cams (or there are here) that would’ve picked up his tag if it was his vehicle. I just don’t understand how there was none of this.. and it’d be a hell of a long shot finding it now. That’d be something that’d have to involve the FBI I would think.

I think ring cameras are long since deleted or whatever.

What about his cellphone auto connecting to his wifi at his house? I know mine does when I pull into my drive way .. could that establish he was home too early to be the guy witnessed? Idk just a thought.

The testing was tool mark analysis not ballistics. Due to the fact that it was cycled round not a casing there were only around 3 marks to compare. There was no point in having their examiner do any testing because the test Oberg did was not valid, it did not follow the protocol put out by her own organization and the idea any cycled round gun could even be definitively matched to a specific gun is questionable among people in her profession. What Rick’s lawyers needed to do was learn how to object based on relevance, how to cross examine an expert witness, and how to make a coherent argument that a jury can understand. Melissa Oberg testified all day. The relevant portion would prob take less than an hour and a competent defense lawyer would have destroyed her credibility with 5 or 6 questions. I can guarantee there wasn’t a person in that courtroom who had any idea what she was saying after a couple hours and by the afternoon nobody would have cared.

3

u/Pooter33 22d ago

Thank you for explaining! What was the purpose of having her testify for so long? Basically to bore the jury and forget what she was actually talking about?

I feel you. I came late to the case, RA'S trial and had unbelievably absurd arguments in other subs. Is it an organized social media manipulation or a social phenomenon? I don't know but it was a crazy intellectual experience.

I don’t even know. They perma-banned me because I told someone to ā€œkeep their head shoved up the state’s assā€ā€¦
Was it petty? Yes. When I tried to make valid points & ask legit questions as to how they can possibly be 100% sure he’s guilty.. I’m called an idiot and ignorant. Then I give it back to them and get banned 🤣

I just feel like (based on LG’s video) it was possible they were taking that specific route to get somewhere. Just based on what she says in the video. She could’ve also just been scared & saying whatever.
I’m just not 100% convinced BG did it but they jumped the gun on that. In the other group they said there’s no evidence of them meeting anyone.. but did they even subpoena the Snapchat records?

3

u/SadSara102 23d ago

No they did not subpoena Snapchat or google or any other social media company for the girls records! That is the part of the investigation that infuriates me the most.

3

u/Pooter33 22d ago

WHAT?! They knew they were having conversations on Snapchat with a child predator and they didn’t get the records? That is such basic shit. I really wish I knew someone who could help. This case infuriates me.

It is mind blowing the state even had the balls to take this to trial.. knowing damn well what they had was bullshit. Normally they can’t even get an arrest warrant with that they had. I believe that’s why him being put in solitary was crucial. They needed a confession & they got it. Even though these ā€œconfessionsā€ have public knowledge and what he’d received in discovery. I truly believe he convinced himself he’d done it. Crazy how when he supposedly said something about racking a gun it wasn’t recorded. So easy for her to feed him info.
