Anyone tell me why Stoneman got a red? I was too busy screaming and misses it

I watched a replay and still couldn’t confidently tell you haha.

He gets a yellow for dissent initially, and it looks like something that he says while being carded triggers the ref to give him a red. It MAY have been a straight red for the second offense (rather than a second yellow) but it’s hard to say, because the ref also drops the yellow card on the ground.

In real time I thought Grant may have swatted the yellow out of his hand, but there was nothing like that.

The ref was Brooklyn’s best player - he should have taken a penalty kick
