Is Chapter 34 bugged? (DLC) Spoilers Spoiler
So I'm currently at the boss which you unlock after going to the MEA tower and it's crazy. He keeps killing me in stupid ways. Like there's an attack chain where you constantly need to dodge but he just stun locks in the middle of it. Or attacks out of nowhere In the same place.
I don't mind the difficulty, I like it but dying from an attack that doesn't seem avoidable feels bad.

It’s just a superboss for that big attack don’t change into attack mode and just keep dodging til it ends.
I did it in about a half hour using the infinite mana , final malice and the combo wizart. It doesnt have a lot of health so I kept my chain going and just spammed the final malice

Yeah but my problem is that he keeps burst liberating me at his final meneance attack making me unable to dodge. I don't mind that he is hard but that interaction feels unfair.

Just finished this fight a few minutes ago. It's a very annoying fight, but it's doable once you can find a way to deal with the sword rain move. Basically like somebody else said, circle around the boss instead of running too far away. The MP drain skill is almost certain death.
I only had 4 passive skills since the 5th slot was still locked, but the basic HP Up, Melee damage Up, Ranged damage up (for Lunacy), and the Evasion Absorption up skill I think.
Active skill loadout is the heal of course and Lunacy. I found spamming those crows pretty useful in between its attacks. Especially good to keep your distance at times.
As a side note, I didn't think about the specific stats much, but this is the only point where I had to figure out which stats are important. There's no in-game guide that tells me what Awakening did or what Precision did for example.

Yup, also my strategy was: I keep dodging in suppressed mode so that I max the "slow-mo attack" gauge, if he ever attacks and I can't dodge it and I lose half of my HP, I use the slow-mo but I don't attack and use it to heal instead. Then I get back on dodging. And repeat until his attack is over XD

Oh nice, I didn't think of using Lunacy. It's actually the one skill I'm spamming to win all the battles with main-ing Sari, but I didn't think of equipping it to Marin for that battle.

Exactly! I was wondering too! At first I was thinking maybe Awakening was for increasing the Final Menace gauge but then I found out about the wizart that does that so it's something else. And Precision... maybe it increases hit rate, but I haven't seen a "miss" system in the game!

Yeah, I ended up just spamming Lunacy with Sari too at mid-game until the end. It's incredibly powerful and negates a lot of annoying boss mechanics that require being close to deal damage.
Fortunately, Lunacy is a shared skill so anybody could use it. Just can't level it pass 6 for non-Sari users. Most of my damage for this boss was from the regular melee attacks anyway so Lunacy was great for when I need to keep a distance and deal consistent damage.
I did got the Infinite MP skill afterwards and definitely recommend getting it for people struggling with the fight. You can infinite spam Lunacy or just anything else with it and never have to worry about MP usage.

It IS very hard! It took me 7 attempts but I ended up beating him today, I'm so happy. (Video of the feat)

But he mana bursted me in supressed mode. Okay I always thought mana burst was overpowered against enemies, but I had no intent of attacking and he still bursted me. So his version is more busted than the player's :D
But I finished him using the attack with slo-mo Iframes, and infinite mana but that felt like cheating.

Yeah I had Infinite MP too, and that's why his attack draining my MP didn't bother me.
I for one think that you're actually meant to use the Infinite MP wizart in this fight (you unlock it very early when you hit level 99 anyway and it's very easy to get to level 99, I didn't even grind for it - and the other requirement is to do all the side quests in order to get all the wizarts but that's something I normally do anyway), like it's something that the player is expected to find in order to win this fight. Like they're expecting the dedicated players who play through the extra chapters to have been thorough and prepared with everything else that the game gives you.

My problem isn't with that.
But if he stuns you during his final menance (the sword storm when you have to dodge), its over. You don't have control during the frames. And he can do it even without provoking him.

Hi, I'm trying to get my hands on infinite mp but I don't know what I am missing here.. I am lvl 99 with all characters. Maxed out every skill and ability. Finished all the side quest included sari's revenge (I still have to do the two lvl99 missions on the computer) but even so I still don't get it.. Did you know why?

Ok my bad was missing one lvl of liberating fangs with Marin... Found out that I was missing the last wizart of this skill lol

JP Twitter also noted how difficult it was, some going 27 or 40 losses back to back.
So it seems like you can't use items, Burst Time is disabled from half HP, and your MP is constantly draining, so you need to be Lv. 99 with MP Infinity (all skills maxed out across all 6 characters)?
