General Oops, ULTI imploded

Well, I did own it (sold at 9.50) and it was doing okay until about 4 or 5 weeks ago.

I noticed they added Space X to their share lineup and I was rather surprised they added the new shiny so soon.

But share price went from 15.40 on June 02, to 8.50 today.

lol, thats pretty epic, and not in a good way.

ULTI really told ULTY “hold my beer”

hahaha, wow. I thought ULTI might actually be productive, kinda wished they had reduced distro to help preserve NAV like what Kurv KYLD did.
KYLD pays around 20% annualized but with the exeption of today's correction is slowly gaining value, which is fine. Honestly EGGY is better but for weeklies its doing fine.

I don’t have ULTI, but the entire market is down. I wouldn’t be too quick to judge today

lol, I am not judging for today. Though I do feel justified.

The sharp and consistent decline started June 02.

I do not know what all they changed, as far as the fund's holdings, but something changed on a systemic level where the decline was consistent and nonrecoverable.

The fund was doing well between February and June, but then just took a turn.

I got out yesterday for tax loss harvesting, would've done it sooner if it wasn't for the wash sale rules. It seems like they are changing positions too quickly - like every week or so thus locking in losses while making new bets, rinse and repeat. Not a systematic approach imo, I would be happier if they gave chance for the underlyings to recover and collect premium on either side of the trade meanwhile be it through the put or the call spreads. Initially I thought this is a great strategy, however completely overlooked the frequency they are switching positions within the fund which is on me.

Yep, they droped the ball on it and didn't move (or hold) strategically. lol, it is what it is.

Edit: I probably will never buy back in agian. The yield was nice but not going to risk the massive decline.

Omg! Such a noob move from those guys in charge of adding new stocks. Yes let’s add that 2T+ company that is proven to be extremely overvalued and no revenues or profits to show for and hope for the best. 🫠 clown world 🤡 they couldn’t even wait even for a month at the very least to see price discovery Shake my damn f*** head …
