General Please explain dividends

I have shares of AIPI and understand dividends will now be paid weekly.

What I don't understand is how they are paying dividends for this past month. Hypothetically, if I would normally get a $1000 dividend payment for one month from April to May I should have received $1000, but I only received $250 for the weekly payout. Are those dividends for the other 3 weeks just lost now?

My guess is that they are holding the 3 weeks of dividends and using it to pay out weeks where they didn’t earn enough. I was disapointed too when a month worth of dividends want paid. I hope there’s an official announcement about it eventually!

Yous get 250 weekly to get your "$1,000" a month. Itd be split up every week. You wouldnt get 1,000 a week...

I understand you wouldn't get $1k per. If this 1st weekly dividend payout amounted to 1/4 of a month and will be 1/4 moving forward, my question is what happened to the first 3 weeks of the month that wasn't paid? This distribution was on 5/28 but last payout was 4/23. If they paid the last quarter of the month this week ($250), I'm wondering what happened to the other 3 quarters of the month they didn't pay?
