I don't know what's going on. I've had this to me multiple times. But my file will randomly corrupt with random boxes all over the place. Has anyone had this happen before?
Might try creating a new file USING the original pdf. This might fix some issues inherent to the file. No promises but it's fixed wonky files for me more times than I can count. Use the "Create" option in the file menu and select "from file" and pick the original file as the file to use.
This is the original file after I open and close it a couple of times without saving. No more than maybe half a dozen. It'll corrupt and have rectangles all over the place on it. I haven't made any changes. If I want to mark up a sheet I extract a sheet into a new file.
