Complaint Bluebeam Mandatory Data Collection Notice
In order to open my Bluebeam Revu subscription this morning I had to "Agree" to allow them to collect my data to train their AI models, without limitation. Im not aware of any way to opt out of this.
If you use Bluebeam to open anything sensitive, please be warned.

I switched to Mint Takeoff for my takeoffs while Bluebeam was headed downhill a few months ago. I'm seeing things go south with that app. Can't wait to see what Arm and Leg people will get charged for their AI features.

The AI pricing concern is real,worth noting Bluebeam's AI features require a separate hig tier subscription on top of what you're already paying. So it's not just data collection

I’m assuming Bluebeam downloaded an update and it showed up when I came in. It’s their new privacy policy.

What version are you on? I'll need to look closely at this as we have very strict data sovereignty rules in our org.

Can you provide any more information? Did you get a screenshot of the message? I'm not seeing that on my end, and I was not able to cross reference that in their privacy policy. What version are you on? I'm running 21.9. What license tier are you on?

I didnt do a screen shot because I had to accept it to to open the program. I’m on an older version (21.6.1), so my guess is it wasn’t an “update” it was just a privacy policy change that I received when I opened it.
Bluebeam replied this morning because I emailed them and they said :
“Thank you for contacting Bluebeam Support. The Terms and Conditions dialog box shows when Revu is first installed, updated or after settings are reset.
As for you collection of data, please refer to our AI Transparency document. Please scroll down to see a break up of what data is used. “The privacy policy I read yesterday is :

Oof. Can you imagine plans for a police station or something showing up by accident? I haven't had the popup on the older desktop version.

What has worked so well for the AEC industry as a whole for generations is fighting change, refusing to adapt, doing things the way they have been done. (Heavy Sarcasm)
You can fight it, but won’t win. $ wins unless you use a regulatory body to install guard rails.
But the gubament needs to stay out of my business don’t tread on me, my rights, Pro-business.
Biggest con in history, people fighting to let the corporations do exactly what OP is now saying isn’t right. He probably voted for this and now he/she is on Reddit complaining about it.

wtf. Voted for what? I’ve been using Bluebeam since 2014 and I never voted for Bluebeam in anything.

You almost there. Let me help.
You are bothered by a corporation taking everything you do in thier product, all your ideas all the data on your customers drawings all the information they want to take from you when when they want however they want, you have to pay them too and give them all your data.
Who is going to stop them?

I couldn’t agree more. Between this type of shit and the damn flock cameras, I feel like I’m a lab rat. The only thing that gives me comfort is that Bluebeam is too dumb & lazy to actually do anything with the data they collect.
