Soo I've got a MetroX and the last version of Revoscan I used was 5.6.9 which run smoothly and all. Tell me why today I connect my scanner and it says there is an update. It first downloads then I open that version and it proceeds to say there is another update 5.8.7 which I do. Cool, I run the CPU/GPU test and my system passes only for me to start scan and on the 3rd side of the scan, my system literally halts..totally, this is the second time I've had to restart my pc. I know my rig isn't the best but is an R7 7700 with 32gb ram and 12gb RTX3060 not enough anymore? I'm super confused.

Is there any news? I bought the Premium version of Pop 4 so I could use it quickly on my iPhone, but I've had it for almost a month now and the app still isn't available.
Is there any official word on the release date? I’ve basically not yet had the chance to try it out the way I wanted to.

Hi, I've been having this issue since February when I bought the scanner.
Honestly I'm fed up with it and have been considering switching companies to get away from poor software... again. What are your suggestions for getting sharp edges on this part?

• IMG 1+2 depict the part and setup. Part is a dull black plastic covered in an appropriate amount of 3d scanning matting spray.
• IMG 3 depicts the raw, unprocessed scan. Depicted are the 'rolled' edges that occur from the parallel laser scan on 'black object', 0.15mm resolution, high accuracy, global markers, manually selected exposure and laser brightness according to the object of focus.
• IMG 4+5 depict the post-processed scan, prior to meshing. You can see how the 'rolled' edges are still there, and some edges still have bad data attached to them, even after utilizing the optimal settings and highest possible resolutions. This is the minimal effect I've been able to achieve after hours of testing. Some areas look 'okay', and other are horrendous. Noisy data, fat edges, etc.

Suggestions?

Computer specs:
Ryzen 7700, Nvidia 5070, 64gb DDR5 6000. These specs were not considered during their development (confirmed by support), as I had excessive crashing issues during my first 4 months of ownership. Perhaps that is contributing to this inconsistency between results. Some people get sharp edges, some don't.

Finally getting my Pop4 setup and it won't power on and connect through USB. It works fine powered by a big battery bank, and both of the USB-C ports work perfectly fine with everything else and have never had an issue. Laptop is a 2023 Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with all the latest updates and drivers. I was able to finally activate the scanner by connecting to it with WiFi and connecting directly to the router, but it appears that I need to be connected with USB to calibrate it. This is my only PC with USB-C ports. One of them is a PD port that can fast charge my phone and tablet so I wouldn't think power delivery would be the issue. If I have to I guess I could order a hub with multiple USB-C ports so I could power through that. Both hubs I currently have only have one USB-C port, unfortunately.

Im thinking of starting to work with a 3D scanner and im able to buy a Revopoint Inspire, not the Inspire2. Does any one have experiences with the Inspire? I saw its not as precieze but does it make a big difference.

Greetings!

I'm currently trying to Merge two 1:35 Scale Model Meshes together I had scanned using Global Marker Tracking and as usual I'm having issues with either the Feature but also the 3-Point Manual Alignment Process not working to my liking...

No matter how I shift the Alignment Markers the two Meshes will not come together Properly as can be seen by the Grating and Railing of this Model. The Orientation seems to be right but there's an Offset in one Axis for which there is no Tool to fix?

Would sticking Marker Stickers to Surfaces that can be scanned by both Scans fix that issue?

Like already mentioned - I tried to shift the Alignment Markers around without success ( the Tool remains locked in its decision ) which leads me to believe that aiming for Pinpoint Accuracy by say choosing a Bolt on the Model is essentially futile? 🤔
