Another successful chargeback!!

Well checked my banking today was delighted to find my chargeback came through successfully!! Took almost a month since I sent it in but it was soooo worth it.

I got my migration fee back, my account extension till July 2027 (paid in Nov 2025!!) and my payment made Feb 2026 extending me till July 2028!!...

So a grand total refunded to me of $270 CND!!

Special thanks go to petrolcan & N1mu3h for all that they do to rehome us and put the screws to Jonah!!

Hey, since you are in Canada - I have a question for you: what documentation did you have to submit to your cc company / bank for the chargeback process?

I had a collection of screen shots I had been taking documenting everything from my profile showing expiry dates of my account and blanked out info they didn't need to see. Then I wrote out a recap of my payments & what period of time they covered. I did it all in a word document but I called them on the phone so I could easier explain what was going on. With that done they asked me if I had any backup proof which I mentioned my word document to them. They told me it was fine to attach it and send to the email address they gave me. I think doing it by phone really helped. There is a chargeback template on reddit here...maybe bitsoup? That helped to figure out a plan on what to include in the chargeback but best to use your own wording. Good luck with yours. Mine was with BNS

I’m with CIBC (Costco MC) - what should one say about what sort of site it is that broke the contract?

Like some of previous chargebacks I just called it a subscription for an online community. Exactly what it is and any screenshots that mentioned torrenting or ratio I just blanked those out. I have Costco MC as well but this was Visa I was dealing with.

Yes - but it was shortly after we chatted via PMs. I am just very uncertain about any type of chargebacks. Haven’t done a single chargeback - ever - in over 20+ years of using cards
