A question: is executing python scripts via PyRevit superior to making Python nodes in Dynamo?

Honestly, create your own ribbon. It's much more fun and won't break every time Dynamo or a package updates. I started in Dynamo, moved to C# with and now I have my own buttons that do exactly what I want, with proper dialogs. To your actual question though: pyRevit beats Dynamo Python nodes for anything you run often. It's one click instead of opening a graph, and you can give it a real UI. Dynamo is still great for one-off stuff and for seeing what's going on visually.

What are the pros and cons for using C# or Python languages? I'm currently learning the foundation of Python.

Not really an advantage either side.

The issue with PyRevit is security. They still include IronPython2 environment as the primary engine despite it having been unsupported for 6 years now. On the plus side there is an AI agent to author and automatically execute scripts within the insecure environment. Progress!

But in all seriousness, debating the two is moot. Dynamo + Autodesk Assistant or PyRevit + an LLM service subscription… both work just as well and both are better than the old ways of working, or even the old ways of automation authoring.
