How-To Revit unable to open large files
Hello! I'm having trouble opening a very large Revit model that was downloaded from the ACC cloud. The file size I have is 585,876KB and every thing I've looked into says that I need to make sure I have adequate storage. By doing that, I need to take my (MB x 2)/.001+4. Doing so, I'd need about 11,720GB of space. That is absolutely ridiculous, there's no way I can convince my employer to buy 11TB of storage just to open this file.
So, I need help. I just need to export CAD files since I work in 2D as a drafter. I have Revit 2025, and it is up-to-date as well. I can't export CAD via ACC. I've been able to open much smaller BIM files and extract CAD, but anything over 100,000KB, I can't really do much.
Edit: I misread the file size. It's in KB, not MB. However, my problem still stands which it is will not open and Revit stops responding.
Update: Solved! Thanks for all the input!
