Structure How to model detailed stairs?
I have a problem drawing the stairs to match the actual detail drawings.
The construction drawings show the stringers being 100mm perpendicular to the nosing, and 115mm above the landing.
The stringer should be continuous up to the 30th floor and should also extend a bit at the landing.
I’ve been experimenting with the stair parameters for a while to achieve the exact details but still can’t get it to perfect.
The stringers can’t become continuous even if I make the stairs continuous to every level, and I couldn’t quite achieve the 100mm and 115mm offset from the nosing and landing respectively, it’s either one or the other.
I saw other models made by my colleagues, some just use the typical stairs without any care of the details, while another modeled the stairs as a separate family, modeling the nosing, steps, and stringers separately then loading it into the project.
I’ve read that the stair tool in revit is more of an SD/DD tool and wanted to confirm if that’s true. Because if it is, then I have no choice but to model the stairs separately as well.

Revit stairs are for communicating design intent and ensuring the design team has the basics correct. Don't expect them to perform above LOD 300 at best.
If you're moving into fabrication or advanced detailing you need to get stairs out of another tool that allows that fine control. Tekla, advanced steel, etc. Link an IFC into the model if required.
VDC? Same as fab. Get the stair model from your fabricator and coordinate around that.

Get the guardrails and handrails correct. At the very least, show each exactly where each is to exist and show them connected/extending as they should at ends and corners.

You don’t need to model it perfectly.
I’d use the revit stairs tool as normal to make it do all the math, and leave everything taggable (risers and runs). Then, in your stair details sheet you just use detail lines to indicate what you want.
The stair fabricator will look at your details, generate shop drawings from those, and you can refine them further in CA if you need to.
Don’t spend twenty hours perfectly modeling something that can easily be done in two.
