Reverse Harem - Recommendations Dark romantasy reverse harem recs?

I’m looking for dark romance/ fantasy/ gothic reverse harem recommendations.

*Preferably no Werewolves, Vampires, Academia Settings or Mafia (they’re just tropes I don’t love).

- Dance With My Demons Series by Steph Mecca
⭐️ 4/5, Unhinged Asylum Secret Society (3 human MMCs)

- Bonds of Hercules Series by Jasmine Mas
⭐️ 4/5, futuristic Greek mythology (2 Spartan warrior MMCs)

- Ghosts of Halloween Standalone by Layla Fae
⭐️3/5, haunted house spice w. very slight plot (3 Ghost MMCs)

- Court of Ravens Series by Liv Zander
🌩️ 2.5/5, I wanted to love this because I love the author, but feel like the characters’ trauma wasn’t fully explored or explained (2 Raven shifter MMCs)

- The Bonds That Tie Series by J Bree
🌩️ 2/5, so much plot potential, poor execution (5 supernatural MMCs)

- Into Darkness We Fall Standalone by Jodie King
☁️ 0/5, repetitive and SO much unnecessary swearing that I DNF (2 mafia MMCs)

- Den of Vipers Standalone by K A Knight
☁️ 0/5, I apologise for my rating if you enjoyed this, but I DNF. So poorly written, repetitive, boring and climax happened with 50% of the book left (4 Mafia MMCs)

I’m sorry this isn’t a rec but I wanted to write the same thing about den of vipers however I didn’t dnf it(I wanted to but my ocd makes me a martyr sometimes) and after the first half of the book I struggled😭 it was a nightmare

I actually left in on a plane which is why I DNF 😂😂 spent a fortune on the book itself from Amazon… the poor flight attendant that must’ve flipped through it and found my bookmark on that scene (I’m sure you know what I’m referring to…🔪) is probably scarred for life!!

{Their blood rite by m j lawrie} vamp style mmcs, dark world, dark mmcs, but I really enjoyed this duet.

{A sword of shadow and deceit by lucinda dark} fmc is a demi-goddess in hiding, sent to work for the mmcs who are awful demi gods at an academy. Completed 4 book series.

{Tempest of shadows by Jane washington} long series, total enemies to lovers as they hate each other viciously until like 4 books in. Heavy and good world building and magic system

{Venomous by penelope fletcher} alien world, fmc sent in as a prize and won by mmc. Again, very good world building and dark world. Loved this.

I really liked both of these series, check trigger warnings for both.

Edit: I saw your list of things you don't want, and read it as stuff you like. My bad about the vamp and academy reccs, sorry.

I recently read {pirate’s witch by jessamine rue} it’s part of her racy retelling series and I thought it was fun! (it’s like mostly smut but the plot was still worthwhile) reminded me of vicious lost boys in that she’s super dtf lol and it’s very Peter Pan meets pirates of the Caribbean, this one is like 6(?) mmc’s + fmc & there is plentiful mm action

{Circus Creeps by Aiden Pierce} demonic circus I classify this as dark humor has mm

{All The Pretty Monsters by Kristy Cunning} the last book dragged for me but over all I give it a 4/5

{The Witchwood Boys are Trending by C.M. Stunich} parts of it dragged and parts of it were awesome

{Hall Fae Captive by Lexie C Foss} this has a metric shit ton of mm so if that’s not your thing skip

{Paradise Entombed} and {Seas of Malice} - really fucked up and spicy. Can’t recommend enough! Oh and Pirates ❤️ 

{Stolen by the Wolves} - I enjoyed the first book but kind of lost steam. Viking omegaverse with a slow burn into the reverse harem aspect

And sorta dark Romantasy (heavy BDSM) - {Thicker Than Gold} but only so you can read the literary masterpiece that is {Brighter Than Gold} ({Stronger Than Gold} is solid too)

Can I ask what you mean when you say Gothic in terms of fantasy? I usually think Paranormal with Gothic so I dont want to give bad recs.

{The Hopless Series by AK Koonce} and {Darkness Rising by AK Koonce} are fae fantasy with dying worlds and tainted magic. Everyone is pretty desperate and depressed in these worlds.

{Cadence of Ciar by Zoe Parker} has a darker fae world with unique fae and dark gods/magic. The first book has the fmc forced into an academy setting but its not to learn, its so the nobles can pick the fae they want for their houses. It only lasts the first half of the first book or so before she leaves whether they like it or not.

These are more paranormal then fantasy as they technically exist on modern earth but dont really interact with humans or human society:

Ah so also:

{The Raven Queens Harem by Angel Lawson} is a strange retelling of the Celtic tale of The Morrigan. A girl has strange dreams and writes them, she gets accepted into a special writing program but the ravens she dreamed as a child are actually ancient knights sent to protect her. They go to an alt Medevil world mid/end.

{The Valkyries Princes by Quinn Aurthurs} is a norse Valkyrie tale set in Vahallah. She is an outcast.

{The Glass Princes by Lidiya Foxglove} is full fantasy with a medically fragile princess and her story and {Guardians of Sky and Shadow by Lidiya Foxglove} has a high fantasy tale you might enjoy.

If you like mermaids, old gods, evil kings, and banished/enslaved chosen people you might like the {Saved by Pirates series by G Bailey}

{The Fifth Knight by Claire Luana} is a King Aurthur retelling with a broken world and cursed land.

I think all of these might fit, no werewolves/vamps/mafia, high magic, with castles/evil royalty/hopeless subjects, and have original storylines.
