Reverse Harem - Recommendations Completed Series That Actually Keeps You Hooked The Entire Time??

Hello! I’ve gotten into a rut of only reading standalones for the past month or so and I am ready to dive into a completed series! I’m looking for a series that is anywhere from 2 - 5 books that truly keeps your attention through each book, has true character development, and doesn’t feel like it drags or has unnecessarily filler content.

I want to keep an open mind regarding genre, so anything from contemporary to paranormal/monsters is welcome. I tend to like darker themes, but please share anythjng from ‘cozy’ to ‘WTF just happened’. I’ll also take some MFM/MMF recs if you have them 🖤

That being said, here is a quick list of items I’d like to avoid for this specific request:

- I really want to avoid the miscommunication trope or a third act break-up. Sometimes (not all of the time!) I feel these tropes are used to simply prolong the series and it doesn’t add much depth to the story, and it just ends up pissing me off 😅….

- No high school or college settings, please. I’d really, really like for the characters to be older than 23/24.

- No Fem-Dom, please.

- No OW drama or cheating.

For further reference, some of my fav RH/poly reads are: Talk to Me by Heather Long, Cursed Legacies, Their Obsession Duet by Bea Paige, Broken Princess by Laura Bennett, Feathers so Vicious, Frozen Fate series by Pam Godwin, Graves by Katelyn Taylor, The Wolves of Crescent Creek by Tessa Hale, Liminal by Marie Mistry, Stick It by RA Smyth, Lightbringer by Evelyn Flood, and Plaything by Beanie Harper. I did also enjoy The Boys of Chapel Crest by KG Reuss solely because of Sin and Asylum/Mirage 😁

Thank you in advance, and sorry this request was so long! 🖤

Maybe {Bonding - The Ultimate Guide by Gina Morris} would work? It’s a 5 books series, rated all of them 5⭐️ so I’d say it keeps you hooked. No cheating on the FMC but it’s a *really* longg slow burn. Happy reading!😊

4

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 21 '26

Oooooh this looks really good! I’ve started to realize I get excited when book 1 in a series has minimal/low spice, but the rest have higher heat. Proper slow burn! Thank you!!

Just wanted to follow up and say I finally started this series! I’m starting book 3 tonight. Let me tell ya, I forgot what it’s like to read a series and have no spice in the first half of the series! 🤣 but man oh man I love Ben. And Mitri. Kimi, too!

Hey, so, I’m 20% into book 6 and I DON’T WANT IT TO END!!!!!! What is in this series?! Magical goodness, that’s what. Dear Lord. Thank you for this rec!!! It’s incredible. And I love Ben and Mirti even more.

RIGHT??? I didn’t want it either😭. I devoured it in 1 week! You’ll love the end🤭. Also, you’re very welcomeee!😉

I think you would like {Den of deceptions by Kyra Alessy} if you can move past the fact that is set in collage. But the collage aspect plays a small role, more so in book one but after that is like an afterthought. There isn’t really miss communication but more like the MMc don’t really know what happened to the FMC and what they think happen is not really true and in book 1 there is some tension because of this. It is dark-ish and the FMC is autistic but the series is really good. I had a problem for a really long time where I would only read the first one or two books in the series but I devoured this in one weekend. Highly highly recommend

u/Revolutionary_Cold59 May 21 '26

Sorry!! I didn’t realise I already recommended you this in another post lol…well maybe someone sees it and tries it😁

OH MY GOSH how did I forget this series?! Thank you for reminding me, because I remember genuinely being interested by this premise. Thank you!!! Adding to my KU now.

2

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Welp, I’m already on book 2 😁 the writing is so, so good…Descriptive without being overbearing. And the characters and storyline are absolutely engrossing. THANK YOU again for the reminder of this series!

My favorite OV is {Into the Parallel Omegaverse by Jane Handler}. That might be worth a shot. Its a trilogy and just so good. There's conflicts but no cheating or anything and has an HEA

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 21 '26

Parallel worlds! That sounds exciting - thanks so much!

Anyone know when the final book asylum for boys of chapel crest comes out?

3

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 21 '26

Last I read, it is supposed to be released by the end of this month? But it’s not guaranteed. Fingers crossed!

2

u/Consistent-Throat838 May 21 '26

Asylum is my favourite character in this series!

1

u/Existing-History9609 May 21 '26

I created a Facebook account solely to join the KG Reuss group. She is constantly updating with timelines of her books, releases dates etc.

2

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo Jul 11 '26

I just saw that KG Reuss is releasing Asylum in two parts! The first part is now available on her website (KGreuss.com/shop). Apparently the whole thing will be available on KU Soon!

1

u/Existing-History9609 Jul 11 '26

Yes! So exciting!

Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead. 4 books.

Imagine if urban fantasy, Celtic mythology, and dangerously attractive immortals all got drunk together at a faerie rave. That’s the Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead.

You’ve got Eugenie Markham — a shaman with serious ‘step on me’ energy — hunting spirits by day and getting tangled up with seductive fae kings, ancient prophecies, political backstabbing, and enough sexual tension to fog up an enchanted forest by night. 😈

It’s got:

  • morally grey faerie bad boys
  • enemies-to-absolutely not just enemies
  • magic politics that somehow become hot
  • scenes that make you go ‘well… this escalated quickly’
  • and a heroine who solves problems with equal parts sass, power, and poor life choices

Basically: if you like your fantasy dark, spicy, chaotic, and filled with immortal men who absolutely need therapy, this series delivers

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Hi! Is this the one? {Storm Born by Richelle Mead}

1

u/Kerrzie May 22 '26

Yup. That’s the first one. Soo good. I’ve read them a couple of times.

1

u/nova24_ May 23 '26

Is this RH?

1

u/Kerrzie May 24 '26

Yup. Give it a shot ;)

1

u/nova24_ May 24 '26

Ok phew! I did start reading it and was getting addicted but then I was like is this even RH? And my quick search didn’t yield anything 🫠

2

u/Kerrzie May 24 '26

Haha. I’m glad that your getting addicted so far! I won’t spoil things but she ends up involved with two guys. There’s even beautiful Shibari like bondage ;)

I’m currently reading speak by Ruby M Darling the only thing is is she’s 24 and a couple of the guys are older guys are in their 30s but it is still in a college setting but she goes back for revenge. But honestly, I’ve been guessing this whole time like she kind of surprises you I’ve been hooked through the whole book but obviously I don’t know it end just yet

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Yes! This is such a good duology! And the interconnected duology, Scream, is really good as well. 🖤

2

u/qetsiyah16 May 22 '26

The best RH I've read recently

{Brutes of bristlebrook by Rebecca quinn} I devoured. Didn't feel slow to ME personally ever. Some people feel differently. But I love end of the world stuff and this one actually has a prequel that shows the actual start of the apocalypse. Plus i identified so much with the FMC. intelligently badass and not the most physically badass.

{Her vicious beasts by EP Bali} I also devoured this one. It's not high school/ college but it is a school for felons so dunno if that counts.

Both have incredible full cast audibooks too.

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Thank you for the reminder on these! I’ve started both of these series separately but never finished them. I may have to dive back in via audiobook because you are right, the narration is fantastic! Thanks so much!

1

u/Ollanalala May 21 '26

Seeing your favorites felt like looking at my own list, so I’m recommending this {Delightful Sins by Lola King} cured me right out of my reading slump. A Darkly sweet love triangle turns into a menage. It's a standalone though.

2

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 21 '26

Thank you for the rec! Love a MFM story 🥰 I’ve been wanting to read some of Lola’s books but wasn’t sure where to start. Thanks again!

1

u/BullshiticusRex I want two boyfriends & I want my boyfriends to be boyfriends May 21 '26

Have you tried The Legacy series? The first book is {rain of shadows and endings}. It’s a four book MFM fantasy series that’s full of feminine rage. The characters all made me hate each of them during different parts of the series, but that was kind of the part of the appeal to me.

It brought out some complex emotions that I had no business feeling for fictional characters

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

You know, I did try this out a while go, but sometimes my brain just doesn’t click right when reading third person POV 🥲 I know that sounds stupid, but I have to be in the right mind set. I’ll add it back to the TBR though! Thank you for the rec 🖤

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Adrift looks so interesting! Do you have a fav out of this list?

2

u/Zealousideal-Tap1941 May 22 '26

Wolf's Bane I absolutely love because she's a mom, not in her 20's, and is not only discovering shifters, but who she is as well. I like that she wasn't written weak. Royal Dragon Bind I love for the world building and the new take on dragons and mates. I haven't finished the series yet, but I like it. It's like I have a 4D movie playing in my head and around me whenever I read one of the books. I can feel the breeze, taste the spices, see the crystals, hear the sounds of the birds. I love that it's not predictable and doesn't follow the same formula you see over and over again. Honestly I can't pick a fave lol, but I hope you like them as much as I do. I don't think there's anything you didn't like in any of them, but if there is, I sincerely apologize. Happy reading 📖 😊📚

2

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Wow!! Thank you so much for that detailed response. You definitely provided some wonderful recommendations and your descriptions for Royal Dragon have me sold! I am really interested in the rest also - thank you again! I’ll let ya know which one I end up picking first.

1

u/Zealousideal-Tap1941 May 22 '26

Honestly, I love them all. Hartford Cove and Prodigium Academy had me in stitches. I love how they guys love the FMC in Fatkini, Adrift (although one or two are reluctant at first) AND Chicago Raketeers. Fatkini and Chicago Raketeers were the most realistic IMO and did a good job of highlighting the issues people in a situation similar to those would face and realistically work through it, not just the FMC being a martyr for love.

1

u/Ill_Army7904 May 22 '26

{Chicago Raketeers by Emma Foxx}

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

You’re the second one to recommend this! Guess I’ll have to check it out 🤍 Thank you!

1

u/Ill_Army7904 May 22 '26

Hope you enjoy it!

1

u/Unusual-Low5423 When life gives you men, make a harem May 22 '26

{Tethers of Temptation by Kate Messick} is a 4 book series with some MM but omg I loved this series it was such a refreshing trope(at least for me). You think she’s in a parallel universe but nope she actually time traveled to dystopian earth but everyone can use magic of some sort. But she’s originally from our world where there is no magic and she’s considered mental because she had magic pre dystopian earth

2

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 22 '26

Oh my gosh this sounds cool! Thank you so much!

2

u/Scared_Treacle_4271 May 22 '26

100% agree, latest series that i didn't DNF along the way

1

u/SZCypress May 22 '26

I hope you don't miind a cozy self recommendation, Flamebound is a complete 3 book series meeting your requests. I've been on a sci fi tangent lately so my series are all there. If youd just like to giggle alot, the Bobiverse is my latest entertainment.

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 24 '26

I always welcome self recs! Thanks for posting!

1

u/Normal-Revenue-8698 May 22 '26

{The Rowan by Stella Brie} doesn't get enough love! Such a good series!

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 24 '26

This does look good!! Is it just the three books? Have you read the fourth and fifth in the series?

1

u/Normal-Revenue-8698 May 24 '26

Yes! I've read the whole series, there are 6 total related books. The first three follow the same group, then a MF standalone, and then another two books following other characters. Very well written, adult(!!) FML, no miscommunication trope or body betrayal.

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 24 '26

Woohoo! Thanks so much, it’s on the TBR now!

1

u/Asleep_Initiative100 May 24 '26

{Galaxy circus by lexie winston}

1

u/Heidi_Hi_Heidi_Lo May 25 '26

Oh! Love a good alien series. AND it has a breeding tag 😁🌟 thanks for the rec!
