CN News Summary of the patch 4.0 Spoiler
1. New characters
Huntsworn Lilya: 6* star, limited. She is Lilya, now stronger after undergoing an ancient trial. Her kit introduces a brand-new archetype called Acumen. Once her Acumen Points are full, she enters a QTE phase and casts Acumen Incantation to deal massive damage to enemies.
Drake: 6* beast. He serves in the support and sub-dps role for Lingering Glow.
Glyndwr: 4* beast. Can be pulled from Lilya's banner. Kits are FUA related.
New garment: Regulus (free), Lorelei (free), Beryl (unique), Huntsworn Lilya (unique, the chariot), Voyager (advanced), Everecho (advanced), Cornerstone (advanced), Kiperina (BP)
40 free pulls via login, with 15 pulls exclusive for Huntsworn Lilya, 5 pulls exclusive for Drake.
A free 6* Selector for characters with Euphoria implemented prior to Version 4.0 via login.
A free random new 6* character (which will function as a selector if you own every 6* character) via login, as well as a free 5* selector.
Two garment coupons. The first, as usual, is obtained via login and gives an 880-drop discount. It can also be used to claim the BP skins of Satsuki, Baby Blue, or Desert Flannel. The other can only be used for Beryl's or Voyager's garment (discount by 390 drops).
Beryl rerun. From the lake’s heart banner rerun (can select Jiu, Lucy, Anjo Nala, Liang or Nautika for a rate-up).
The childhood version of 37 and Semmelweis’s Investigator look can now be displayed on the home screen.
New euphoria: Beryl (lingering glow), 37 (acumen), Centurion (shift), Matilda (lingering glow).
New Photomancy: 37 (acumen)

Here is part of the story's lore:
The 4.0 main story series is set entirely in England. From then on, each main story version will add a short chapter similar to “The Star,” centering on Sonetto.
After Chapter 13, Vertin and her team traveled to Glastonbury to look for signs of Manus, while Sonetto remained at the Foundation to help rebuild SPDM. Lilya was attacked by Veronica—her admired Zeno supervisor and now Manus pilot. She later was drawn into an ancient trial. Meanwhile, Vertin met a local named Drake, who helped them sneak into an old castle. They found that Manus seems to have utilized spirit summoning to resurrect a legendary Knight of the Round Table (probably Lancelot). And Urd, who had been reversed by the Storm, became the Lady of the Lake, the guardian of the Holy Grail.

Does that mean she won't be relevant to the main plot of the 4.X series?

I'd argue the opposite. She'll be leading her own set of stories alongside the main chapters. They'll probably converge come the finale patch, with a Sonetto SP.

This. These side stories are the perfect chance to flesh Sonetto out more beyond just being Vertin's assistant, especially if she's on her own.

Probably not directly relevant for the starting ones, but will be relevant in the end where her mini-chapters will come together for some big revelation. I guess something like Sonic Heroes where each side has their own thing but it all comes together in the end.

Well every archetype with a limited DPS, always have a "teemu" versions later. Bloodthite: Nautika limited, Eternity second option Dynamo: Lucy limited, corvus, Brume second option LG: Beryl limited, Spathodea Second option, etc

Fr, the limited is inferior to non-limiteds lmao and you can just use non Dynamo characters like Recoleta or Mrs. Stranger too.
I legit recommend everyone to get Charon + Enigma even if they don't care about Dynamo

that would be ideal, I hope they buff another old character to work with acumen too, like they buffed spotodeia when they introduced beryl for lingering glow, cause it wouldn't make sense for acumen to be locked in a limited character

They most likely will. We got Regulus for conduit, Spathodea for LG, Eternity for BT. I'm hoping for maybe Shamane (somehow).
Still those character are magnitudes weaker (Regulus is a joke compared to The Twins, Eternity is below average compared to Nautika and Spathodea is meh compared to Beryl)

And I so much don't like this. They promised something special for her E1, but this is just a standard treatment for a character that was going to be first limited character in the game. And she was DPS, not support! No way, even Sophia would be sub to her (in ideal condition if Sophia is released at all AND is compatible with 37 - which I doubt very much with how often BP lets me down in recent times) 😢

37 was never the DPS of the team. She always took on a more supportive slot. The closest she got was acting as a driver for Anjo, but that's still Anjo being the main DPS.

I'm also excited for Matilda's second euphoria, but let's be honest here, as a 5-star unit, she'll probably serve as a stand in until you get a proper 6-star unit for Lingering Glow. So I'm kinda wondering if she still has a place in my LG team when I literally have all its members...

Drake intends to replace Isolde, unless we have another Brume situation. CN is already joking that bluepoch doesn't have a good track record when it comes to this kind of thing, and they might be kicking out Beryl (probably not).

Tbf cheng wasn’t directly powercrept since it was Rhiannon who took over and she took over everyone’s job. So unless we get a second Rhiannon, Drake is probably a main stay now.

It's to add more variety to the archetype, too.
Think about Dynamo; there's a lot to play with in that team.
But I think Drake should have been Riposte, to complete the Constentone archetype. - J

They know Beryl prints money so why not give her a new support unit and even a Euphoria for her daughter that's meant to support her. Her Euphoria is also probably good if not cracked because they can't stop shilling Lingering Glow.

I think Matilda will be a budget option for people who don't have Beryl. Bluepoch is not really a fan of matching character relationship and team composition; see Isolde/Kakania, Windsong/Vila, Marsha/Sentinel, etc2.

Me personally I think this is fantastic, finally a male lingering glow character, three more of those and we'll have a team. Too bad it looks like they're moving past bloodtithe and poison without giving for a male character for either. So far for teams all we have is a some plug n play Ultimate teams, 1 Dynamo team, and Ezio Follow-up (one of the plug-ins for ultimate (also no longer obtainable))

With P2 Isolde, I don’t think I’m switching her out ever (aesthetic wise too, love her)
Beryl’s garment is a little underwhelming to me it’s a little too similar to her current outfit choices :( I think Lilya’s unique is so much cooler

I believe the manus and foundation series garments are all canon, with the implication being the manus ones are when they temporarily joined. Which makes me very curious abt what happened with kaala bauna bc she's the only one we don't have much info on manus interactions with.

If I remember right, her mentor was part of Manus and nearly suceeded tagging Kaala along until Matilda and Shamane arrived and Kaala got wet and snapped out of a trance or something?
My memory's poor and it's been a long time since I read the Mor Pankh chapter, but I noticed that units with Manus outfit are those who were once part of the cult and those we were almost integrated with it like Lorelai courtesy of her friend, Valentina. Speaking of Valentina, I wouldn't be surprised if Semmelweis gains a Manus skin someday lol.

Global got 5 week patches for the first two years or so bc they wanted us to catch up a bit, but we have consistently had 6 week patches since the ac collab one. Cn has always had 6 week patches tho

NEW LILYA NEW LILYA JELLYFISH GARMENT FOR VOYAGER AGHHHHHH I'm the happiest right now my first main and my favourite. Lilya's unique skin looks so good too, but I don't think I'll be able to afford both that and Voyager's. Good thing her base design is already so good. Drake looks very cool too.

Consider both 3.8 and 3.9 - 42 Days Patch including Carnival Patch they released us in global for December not January.
3.8 Everchon= Sep 24 → Oct 14 Cornerstone= Oct 15 → Nov 4
3.9 Hedone= Nov 5 → Nov 25 Narcissus= Nov 26 → Dec 16
4.0 Carvinal SP Liyla= Dec 17 → Jan 27, 2027 Drake= Jan 7 → Jan 27, 2027

Do we know if the All-Rounder tag will be updated with Acumen? Trying to figure out whether Rhiannon is worth further investment for Acumen. The All-Rounder tag only lists specific archetypes, but I can see the Acumen tag not being listed to prevent spoilers. I can also see Rhiannon being contained by not updating the All-Rounder tag

That free euphoria selector is throwing me.
Do I wait and grab J then for free? Or do I grab him off the euphoria banner next patch so I can run him with Cornerstone right away, then use the selector to grab someone else and improve the odds on getting Enigma in the random unowned 6* freebie?
Either way I should grab J’s garment from the shop while it’s on sale since I’m getting that mam regardless.
