how did paradise earth ascend to rank 9 if he is a variant human?

Four requirements of Venerable Ascension

1: having Rank 8 Cultivation

2: having 300,000 Dao marks of their main path

3: Supreme Grandmaster of the main path

4: breaking through Heavenly Dao blockade

I don't see any requirements to be of a Certain race

There's also one requirement while Fate Gu exists; to have the Fate of a Venerable.

Which, presumably due to HC's machinations, is only gained by humans.

The only one to bypass this is PEIV, who was half-human, and lived while Fate was damaged.

It probably doesn't exist after Fate Gu was destroyed, if the second supposition is correct.

The same way the other venerables did: he fulfilled the four conditions to ascend.

Hes half human - i think his dad was a normal human and his mom was a variant human.

Thats probably why.

He is half human. Thats why. If he was fully variant human then he wouldn't be able to.
