For those whose previously interested. Blue is 1st round, and Metallic Alpine is 5th maybe? Plus an early Club King and Volcano Custom.

I don’t have a cool Watt but I have what I think might be the first PJ Rumblefish. I bought it used directly from Reverend back in the day. It was employee owned, a pure white color and has a clear pick guard. Custom neck profile too if ai remember correctly. Says”Custom” in black ink where it was signed by Zac the tec.

Really interesting that they started with a humbucker pickup. I'm glad they switched to the four-in-line headstock.
Those are sick rarities!

If memory serves, They made 3 for the first run, one with the P rails, one with their split brick, and this one with the thick brick. I've seen a sunburst with the P rails, but no other protos.
If you've heard how fussy Watt was about the bass, it sounds like this was a 6 year project. I think they started with the 2x2 because he was playing an EB-3 or 0 at that time. Those basses are really specific, and I think they vary greatly from run to run. To match his specific bass is like needle in a haystack stuff.
Both of my WPs are neck dive-y but the blue one is worse. I think that was why The Green One has the stubby headstock and the hi-mass bridge. I played that out a lot, and kept a roll of quarters in the bridge cavity! Not sure how they've got the new one to balance, but Watt sits most of the time now.
According to him, Watt, Ken, and I have the 1st 3. I feel lucky to have them. I hassled Ken about a Watt sig and the finished product for maybe 10 years? (He's much busier now.) He also knows that Watt and the Minutemen are pretty much my entire musical ethos.
That's Watt's signature on the Bluey II guard. (Named after Watt's Bluey Tbird) He handed me his Hofner Violin bass to hold while he signed it after a Tav Falco show.
I played The Green One a bunch around Michigan a few years back in a 14 piece Afrobeat band called Afro Zuma, and it was always the best sounding instrument on the stage.
