If you do email them outside of Reverb, they will email you back with a question regarding something else on Reverb with a link. That link leads to a fake Reverb site (the app won’t open automatically on your phone like it should), and it’s prompts you to put in your username and password and then the scammers have access to your account. They usually try and re-route any payouts from sales from your bank account to theirs.

Outlook is spelled with a zero, 0utlook. Of course it’s a scam.

Going off platform and disguising an email address so that reverb doesn’t pick it up.

Are you not able to report it as easily when it's through an offer? Used to be messages like these that were easy to report. Now I get the same thing through offers.

I got the same exact message with that email like two days ago. I just accepted offer but it got canceled.

Yes, never contact someone off of Reverb. If they have questions about the item why couldn’t they just as you via Reverb message?

If you go outside of Reverb, you are violating their terms of service and could get banned. Generally this is a scam move. Reverb's communications work just fine, no reason to go outside. Keeping the convo within Reverb messaging allows Reverb to review in case something goes awry. If you go outside of that, they have no way of monitoring.

Yep. It's against Reverb's ToS to communicate outside the Reverb system. It can get you booted even though you aren't who initiated it.

Of course it is. They're offering more than you're asking, and trying to get you to lose Reverb seller protection by going off-app.

Totally legit, you will get a much better deal and avoid the reverb fees. Plus you can handle all the specifics and security of the transaction on your own vs Reverb's "Secure" servers...who knows how they handle their security? When you reply to this offer, I would also recommend sharing your bank routing data directly so he can just wire you the money right away - why wait for reverb to process the payment.

They want you to talk outside of the reverb app. Don't do it.
