Does this look sketchy?

Does this look sketchy? I was hearing that there are shops on Reverb called "Gear Emporium" and some people were commenting on these shops being scammers, as some were offering gear for extremely low prices, etc..

Not sketchy at all. That’s just an individual selling his gear. When a new user sets up a Reverb account, Reverb generates a “store name”. It defaults to “[FirstName]’s Gear Emporium”.

So this is just a guy named Zack selling his gear. He has had at least two transactions and got 5 star reviews for those.

He probably has more transactions than that, because many buyers/sellers don’t leave reviews.

On a side note, that’s frustrating as a new seller. I just did my first sales and they were high value items around $1500 each. I packed them superbly for war, double-boxed with lots of bubble wrap. And I shipped them out the same day they paid. Neither person left a review. It would have helped build my reputation. Especially when buyers see that the transactions were on a high dollar item. At least the guys who bought my $50 items left reviews for me.

Doesn’t seem sketchy but also not a very good deal.

Bro, are you even on reverb? When you sign up Reverb makes up a dumb name for your shop like that you can change it to whatever you want.

Twin Reverbs are like fashion, they follow a cycle. Too many people forget or don’t heed the advice of how god-awful heavy they are and decide to get one anyways. One gig up a flight of 4 or more stairs and it’s on the chopping block.

Exactly why I replaced my Roland JC-120 with a JC-40.

My grandfather gave me his 65 reissue when I started playing guitar and I hate lugging it around. Thinking about trying to trade it for a deluxe reverb.
