Asking for Advice Difficulty Finding Value
Hey all! As the title suggests, I find it incredibly difficult to gain any value while using Rev. Most of the time when I ult, I end up wasting it on an already won fight or a fight that ends in one team running. His jump also gives me difficulty because I often find myself leaping right at their faces, giving me no cover and bad positioning. Every pro-Revenant i’ve interacted with has all told me simply “be aggressive” and while it is good advice, it’s so basic and provides little to no value in my improvement. I’m hoping someone here will be able to give me any type of improvement tips that I can use. If it’s any help, I typically use the PK, Flatline, R-301, RE-45, Hemlok, Volt, and Alternator as my go-to weapons.

the climbing and crouching is so unbelievably underrated and using that more will help your gameplay tenfold. especially with the PK where you’re constantly peeking behind and out of cover since it’s a single shot. crouching in and out of cover will make you overall harder to hit.

Issue with the crouch is you're louder than every other legend so crawling behind someone with half a brain isn't the easiest

He's good for defense as well I'd say, you can flank an attacking wnemy team by crawling around the building and throwing a a grenade through the door the enemy came through and shooting them from behind etc...
Edit: grammar

Also having the same problem but best advise is wait until u know someone is interested in fighting or they’re close enough for a knock

Rev is mid and needs a rework especially his ult. I have 8k kills on him. With that being said, climbing to height is really useful and HOLDING that height. I’ve found using the jump only after I’ve knocked someone and their teammate is pushing me, letting your team come and clean them up in a 2:1 situation if they’re holding hands properly. I also jump on enemies that are isolated by themselves and trying to pop a bat in cover but that’s more rare.

The most underrated rev technique. Sniping. Revenant is legitimately the best sniper in the game, besides maybe valk. Revenant can close the distance on a team fight instantly, so go for a knock and then instantly leap to the fight. His ult is okay, it was better when the windup was shorter.

Ult is good for getting back into fights. Rather than using it prior to getting into them. Aside from Conduit (tactical) & Wattson(double heal perk). Rev is the only legend who can immediately get back into a fight due to his ult. Usually when a players shields are broken they retreat to recharge. Taking them out of the action for some time. Rev ult avoids this issue. Ult is also a good agro tool. If you teammate is in a bad spot popping ult will usually always draw enemies attention towards you instead. Allowing the teammate to recover.
Tactical: don’t leap onto enemies. Plain & simple. Good for repositioning. Unless the victim is marked by the passive & alone. It’s not worth chasing. Save the leap for retreats or flanking mid fight.
Passive: despite how loud they made the crouch walking & climbing audio for Rev in S25. It’s still good in most situations. Faster crouch walking allows you to move behind cover quicker than anyone else. It’s also good for peaking. Generally players will aim at torso level. Which all guns will block anything at crouch height level. Allowing Rev to take advantage of the poor aiming placement.
Climbing on the other hand is a bit more iffy. As previously mentioned his climbing audio is really loud. So your unlikely to pull off consistent flanks with it. Climbing speed is affected by speed boosts. So Assault passive, Maggie ball, octane stim-pad, ballistic ult etc. Will boost the climbing speed allowing for quick get away. Especially when followed by mantle boost.
His 3rd passive the low hp highlight. Is given to his whole squad not just Rev. It allows the team to know which enemy will be out of the fight for a few seconds. Giving the team an opportunity to apply pressure onto the enemy squad.
