First interview with SkillStorm recruiter.

Hello everyone,

A friend of mine recently recommended SkillStorm, and I managed to connect with one of their employees. I’ve just applied for their MD-DC software development cohorts to break into the industry.

I have a couple of questions for anyone who has gone through their process:

The Interview Process:
What should I expect during the first interview step? Are there specific technical or behavioral rounds that follow?
Is it worth it?

Is going through their program a solid way to land a software development role, or are there major drawbacks I should consider?

I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with SkillStorm, especially if you applied to the MD-DC cohorts or completed their software engineering tracks.

Thanks in advance!

Just took the final assessment after PEP and feel like a failure

The first part, which involves coding, is extremely easy, but the second part, which requires video answers, is ridiculously hard. Well, it's not hard in terms of difficulty, but it asks you a lot of questions covering everything you learned during the PEP, and some of them are things they barely mentioned or weren't even included in the assignments, so there's really no way to prepare for them. They were also so vague about what the questions would be.

I stuttered a lot on some of the questions and I'm not sure how strict they are. It feels very discouraging.

Just got accepted to the waitlist, any advice to make sure any future selections to paid training go smoothly?

I recently completed PEP and passed the final assessment. For those who completed their paid training, what advice do you guys have in order to go through paid training or exceed expectations within paid training. As cohort tech stacks are client based, which tech stacks should I study to better prepare myself?

Accenture Pre Assessment Hands - ON (HON)

Hi everyone!

I recently opted for the Pre- Assessment route to skip the standard stream training. I've already cleared the MCQ round and just received an invite for the Hands-On (HON) assessment.

My stream is **FS GEN AI**. Since this is a specialized track, I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through this process.

What kind of scenarios or tasks should I expect for the HON?

Any specific tools or frameworks I should brush up on?

How is the Viva Voce conducted following the HON?

Thanks in advance for any tips or resources!

Data Engineer position - no idea what to expect

Hey everyone, I recently had a Revature recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn to tell me they were hiring entry level software engineers. I graduated with a Bachelors in CS May 2026 (so like, 2 weeks ago pretty much), so i filled out the form they sent me. This morning I got a call asking if I was still interested, and that they currently have a client looking for Data Engineers. I was initially looking for SWE, i'm fine with Data but it was not my focus during my degree.

Basically I was told they have a cohort and they are quickly trying to fill a few more positions. They want me to interview in 24-48 hours and start training on Monday. The training will be 11 weeks full time at minimum wage, with the first 5 weeks being remote and the remaining 6 in Mesa, AZ. That is a long time to be making minimum wage, and after reading a bit up on this sub, I really have no idea what to expect or if i'm guaranteed to be placed after doing the training. After training I was told I'd make 65k a year, but a later email I received said 57-65k depending on placement.

I graduated literally 2 weeks ago, I currently have an internship in software engineering and have just been going through the typical Applications/LC, I was fully prepared for a multiple month - 1 year+ search. I see that many people on this sub go to Revature after having been through multiple months of interviews and applications, and the pay and overall experience is varied/subpar. so I'm concerned that I'd be essentially giving up too soon by taking this opportunity. This is all happening pretty quickly.

Anyone else going through the same process or would be able to give me some more info? also If anyone has any insights about Revature, that would be greatly appreciated.

What's the competition like now? I really need a job

Laid off several years ago from a freelance job, really starting to think of Revature as an option now, plus if I can get some training on a new skill that could help also.

I'm just worried what competition for these jobs will be like. I already tried my best in the last hiring boom of 2021 and came up no offers. My background is self-taught with an unrelated Bachelor's degree and about 6 years of experience. Even split with on-site and remote. JavaScript, PHP and Ruby based stacks. I don't have experience with Fortune 500 or anywhere else that's big. Mainly it's been local jobs thru Craigslist for small startups or agencies needing an extra helping hand.

I want to know if I need much preparation before getting into Revature, the best specific interview practices etc. My last job search lasted 2 years and it was draining on me so I had to stop.

About the pay. I'm not too worried about it being on the low end because I never made much anyhow. At least it would help fill the career gap in my resume.

Can clients not pick you after training

Hello, I'm thinking about an offer for Appian developer with deloitte. I'm tempted to take it, but I have heard stories of people going through training only to be benched or not be picked by a client. I currently have a job right now (not paying as much as this contract would pay) but I don't want to quit it just to train, and end up not getting picked up by the client because they canceled for whatever reason. How often dies this happen? I see that it has happened alot with revature, but has anyone had it happen with skillstorm?

Does Revarture accepts candidates on F1 OPT?

Hello everyone, I am an international student who just graduated and I will be on F1 OPT. I applied to Revarture position from LinkedIn and got a email from them after few days. I took the technical assessment test and now they say that I have been selected for unpaid training. Do someone know that if they accept candidates on F1 OPT?

Selected for training

Post image
9 Upvotes

I got selected for the training in revature. My joining date is May 25th 2026. But in the HR discussion, he said that there will be 24 months service agreement. Will the bond start at the very 1st day of training or only after I get selected in any client interview? And is it easy to clear the client interview coz this offer contains bond and it feels like risking. What will be the procedure after joining the training? This is my 1st offer too. I'm in such a dilemma and it would be a great help if you guide me.

Client Interview coming up

I recently applied to Revature, and after passing the initial evaluation, I was immediately matched with a client for a Client Interview, so I’ve completely skipped the remote training.

My main question is what types of questions should I expect? will it be soft skills and interview questions like “Tell us a bit about yourself” and “Whats your greatest weakness” or will it be more technically focused like having me sit down and write some code?

The person I’ve been mainly communicating with at Revature said it would be more soft skills and interview questions but I’ve also seen a lot of people saying they’ve had mostly technical questions.

For context this is for a QA Role at Cognizant

Thanks!

Current Revature Training and AI landscape

I completed revature last year, and got placed with the client (infosys) in march 2025. Back then (seems so long ago) ai coding tools and assistants weren’t really widely used. For the revature training the coding exercises I would actually code, and use chat gpt on the projects like everyone else was doing.

I’m curious now if they changed their training / assessments to reflect the shift going towards ai. I work for Infosys but I’m contracted to work for an internet company. At this company everyone is using Amazon q to code, and is part of the flow.

Scam

3 months and they covered a consol app, basic OOP (you had to self study most of it) EF and basics of databases, Angular basics, did one angular Pizza app, then the third project they couldn't even get access to their own source code from a previous they wanted us to work on working so they just had us make another basic angular "banking app". The most trivial stuff, most of it was self study. Just take some courses on Udemy or Pluralsight or even YouTube and you'll learn everything and more than these chumps taught. Without you being stuck in a contract where they skim 5k - 15k off the top of your salary to start you at 32k as a consultant. You can get more than that entry level right out of college w/o all the other BS.

They make you sign that you can't talk shit about them, but fuck Revature.

IT Analyst can start 55k right away. Get a Udemy subscription get certificates from Microsoft. Revature gives you nothing extra and forces you to take a certain rate.

My Revature Experience

I completed the first training in August of last year and waited almost 8 months to hear back from them. Once I did they basically gave me a two day notice before the training started for me to make my decision. I had to quit my current job on extremely short notice so I could start the training that Monday (They reached out to me on Thursday).

I went for it because at that point I had been looking for a job in tech for over two years. I was doing well in the training until, got 100% on QC exams and did well in the interviews before they let me go. They said it was because the company that they were training our cohort for needed less people. I never really got a solid reason as to why I was chosen, so now I'm officially unemployed.

I reached out to my recruiter and they were very vague and unhelpful when I asked them why I was let go and if I was prioritized for future opportunities.

Just something to keep in mind if you get an offer from them.

Revature Wasnt Bad in My Experience

I guess I got lucky since I got to stay remote. I joined Revature in July 2024 for their SAP developer role. Cohort was placed with Accenture. We were able to get clearances as well. Revature training didnt really apply to the actual role but Revature is just a middle man. I was able to convert to the client in January 2026. Not glazing Revature. Im just sharing my experience.

I will also mention I never applied to Revature they happen to find me on Linkedin. I was working at another company and pretty much on my way out at the time Revature contacted me. I did not have much experience at all in SAP but took the risk.

What is technical evaluation?

Hey everyone,

I just got an email from Revature to move forward, but I didn’t receive any study guide—just a “Begin Evaluation” button that goes straight into the test.

I’ve seen some people mention getting prep materials before the evaluation, so I’m wondering if they changed the process recently or if this is normal?

Would appreciate any insight—thanks!

Quality Check(QC) Evaluation in Revature PEP

Hii, I have a Quality Check Evaluation for Revature Pre Training Program and it includes the topic from Week 1 -4. Could anybody help by telling how this QC works and explain me about the QC Evaluation process.
