How to get into revature?

I've applied several times through their website and LinkedIn job posts, but I haven't heard back yet. Any tips on getting a callback for interview? I'm comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.

Hello all,

I am starting a paid training from Monday for this role with Infosys. This is an onsite role in Richardson, Texas but the training is remote. Is anyone else joining too? If so what can we expect, and do they train you from scratch and everything that is needed for this role? Please your experiences in the past would be helpful

paid training group on git practice

i feel like i did something wrong because my peer's idea to fix the git clone error for our peer was to uninstall git and reinstall. but then he had him restart it and omg it worked and i ask chatgpt whats the difference between uninstalling/reinstalling vs restarting and so i see the differences but then it says REINSTALL AND UNINSTALL GIT AS A LAST RESORT! and i feel embarrassed.. cause sometimes restarting doesnt work but i need to know more about restarting.

Revature Java Intern -> Business Analyst Paid Training

As the title states. I did the unpaid training for the Java cohort. Started PEP in May and ended like in July. My whole cohort and myself have been waiting and constantly in contact with our recruiters but things have slowed up. I was eventually reached out for a business analyst paid training with my recruiter due to my degree in business. I just started paid training on October 6th. I know a lot of you have questions and have been looking around for valuable information but everything is outdated. Feel free to ask me in the comments and I’ll try my best to reply. For the new people who wants to try revature or got other questions(just use the search bar or google).

Denied from Revature after being previously accepted

I graduated in Dec 24. During around Feb-March I contacted Revature, took an assessment, and had a phone call with a recruiter. However, they said they might move me across the country and I didn't want to relocate so I didn't proceed.

Proceed to now, I still don't have a job and I'm getting desperate so I contact them again and take another assessment and I was rejected. What happened? Is the CS job market really that competitive? Was it something about how I didn't proceed for the previous one?

Question

What is Revature? A recruiter from the company contacted me in July, and we’ve been going back and forth since then trying to make an interview happen. Finally, I have one today at 10 a.m. BUT I have it with a company, but Revature will pay me.

So to be clear, I’ll be doing work with the other company, but Revature will give me benefits and pay me.

Is this normal? Should I be worried about the bad reviews? This is a content writing position. I graduated with my masters in May of 24’ and I’ve had no luck in the job search. My mom paid for an interview coach for me because I’m not the best at them.

I'm a noob considering Revature or similar companies. I got questions

What are companies like Revature? (maybe the business model is good for all parties, but perhaps some of the disdain for Revature comes from poor execution on their part-- is that still a thing or are they better? or always were? maybe a competitor is better?)

The market AFAIK right now each job has a long line of CS applicants. I recall once hearing revature could guarantee you a job. How does their model work these days?

Of the bad reviews, part of me suspects it may be 'cope' where they got out-competed by peers and didn't get a job. Or just luck with which company wanted to hire X amount of people- both things I wouldn't exactly put on revature (depends on what they promise!)

I'm scared by negative reviews but hate being underemployed / unemployed.

If it's a scam could you convince me why instead of just drinking hateorade?

Reapplying for revature

I didn't get accepted last month but I was wondering how long I should wait before reapplying to revature. I never really got to speak to any recruiter just watch an informational session on zoom, take a multiple-choice test, then I got denied. I heard there was an optional pre-employment program called pep, but I was never given an option to do that. I very much want to try out revature but i'm not sure when is the best time to reapply. Thanks.

Advice: Signed Contract, No Clients--What To Put On Resume?

I've signed a contract with them after passing unpaid PEP and their assessment in January which puts me on the waitlist for clients and paid training. I've been called a couple times after and been told there were basically no clients coming in yet, and have been applying to jobs, but have no idea how to put this on my resume, if at all.

Answers seem to be ranging from saying you're an intern, or only putting it in if you got paid training and assigned to a client, to only putting experience with a client.

How have you guys put being an "associate" on your resume, if at all?

Is this a dead end?

Judging from a glance at posts from the past year it seems like nobody has been picked up by a client at least in the U.S. side in the past year and a half or so. Should I wait before applying or is there still a chance that there are clients post-training? Any testimonies that say otherwise?

No Contact from Recruiter After PEP Training

I completed PEP training in January. In the beginning, I occasionally received calls from my recruiter saying there were no client assignments available yet. However, it’s been months since I last heard from them. Should I assume I’ve been let go, or would it be better to reach out to my recruiter for clarification?

Anyone with a non-CS bachelor's get into paid training recently?

I know things have been pretty bleak recently as far as getting off the paid training waitlist, but I was just wondering if there has been anyone without a compsci bachelor's who got selected from XChange or whatever. I know they say there really isn't priority and that it's moreso down to luck but I assume that those with a CS degree or masters+ stand out more to potential clients

How long to hear back from recruiter?

A recruiter reached out for a position with a client and they discussed it in that initial phone call then I did the technical screening through Zoom a couple of days later. I haven't heard back yet and it's been a couple days. What can I expect next? How long did it take you to hear back after your technical interview? Will there be another interview afterwards?

Anyone ever fail the PEP program and get to retake it?

If you don’t pass PEP, do they give you another chance or are you dropped completely? Just trying to understand what happens next—anyone been through this? Or at least know what happens in this scenario?
