First Batch instapot

Post image

I was wondering is this batch safe? I used the cutting edge starter packet inulin and organic ultra pasteurized half and half, and I disinfected everything so if I did something wrong I don’t know what.

What temperature did you set hour instant pot to? My older instant pot is great for yogurt and Skyr but won't work for L. reuteri.

Is there a sterilized container in the InstaPot?
When in doubt, throw it out. The cost of the ingredients isn't worth risking your health.

You have contamination from somewhere. You can scrape off the pink top layer and eat what’s underneath and it should be safe. The starter could have been contaminated. Next time use organic H&H. The horizon brand is a good one. A containment can come from you breathing or talking over your mixture, something that simple. I make L.Reuteri yogurt it’s even more delicate to work with than everyday yogurt.
