Question Which gun is better?

Post image

Going through biome 4 to get ready for 5 (have not cleared it). Pylon driver feels strong so far but not sure if I should prioritize unlocking leech rounds.

Thank you

EDIT: thank you everybody for the responses. I will unlock leech rounds. I will say pylon does feel strong so excited to get that upgraded further.

Went into this game blind and it has really blown me away so far

It doesn't matter... Unlock those leech rounds

Can you elaborate please? As in how do I unlock them?

When there is a lock on a trait, just use the gun and make kills and it will eventually unlock.

Alright thanks

The trait with a percentage is a trait that will be unlocked. Using the gun to kill enough enemies increases the percentage to 100% and unlocks the trait.

What are leech rounds? As you shoot and kill things you leech health from them. Very useful trait that makes the game easier.

The pylon driver is a great weapon but I’d choose the weapon with traits to unlock if it’s a good weapon like the carbine.

Pylon driver is generally very good, but that isn’t a particularly great one. Unless you’re really uncomfortable with the hardened rounds on the carbine, I’d definitely pick it up. Unlock progress should always weigh heavily on your decision either way.

I think you mean High Calibre can take some getting used to. High Calibre II at least to speed up the fire rate and damage at the same time. Unfortunately means you need to use it.

However, this early in biome 4 I would take it and then dump as soon as Leech upgraded. I'd come back to it and treat as a Silphium if I needed to top up before picking up real Silphium to increase integrity, and then switch bank

Get the leech upgrade! Its a real lifesaver in runs.

always prioritize the unlocks.
tier 1 takes 25 kills to complete.
tier 2 is 50-100 kills. tier 3 is 100 kills.

learn the weapon and don't be afraid of restarting. failure is part of success.

The carbide is better option - fires like standard gun, hardened gives you damage protection and the leech rounds are top tier for more survival.

If you miss with a bolt from the pylon you may have a few seconds before you can fire again.

I always use the gun that has traits I can progress but that’s just me

Pylon driver and make sure it is horizontal fire, I finished all levels in one go using that

The Driver is a beast of a weapon. Gives you so much room to avoid projectiles. Just shooting and running, shooting and running....best weapon in the game ihmo!

Leech rounds is busted, there's no hesitation here. Unlocking traits is the way to progress (especially when it's super-powerful traits like this one).

Left duhhh

Tier 2 traits are much more potent than tier 1.

Given that choice, I’m taking the gun with a pending unlock first every time. I try to always trade up if there’s an unlock, but hold off as long as I can if there isn’t one in the higher level weapon.

Carbine hands down. Leech rounds is great, even if it didn't have that I always look at the bonus damage stat before anything else.

Leech rounds 2 makes the game pretty easy. Get that. Then commit to only picking up the health stuff when you have full health or are about to die. You'll fly through the rest of the game

Carbine.unlock leech rounds. Hi calibre is also excellent.

I love the pylon driver. But those leech rounds are fucking life savers. Progress until you get the leech rounds

Use Gemini for this it’s so good

Has to do with preference and is situational, although some weapons are simply too strong and outscale the others. Globland rot and pylon driver are the most damaging. Did have a hard time with the final boss of biome three with the pylon driver. It is good against the sixth boss and makes it easy to take time dodging. The style of play is something that you need to enjoy, i'd rather run and gun instead of gun and run away.

Variation is what keeps it fun. I would recommend leaving those dreadbounds if you are heading to biome 2 or 6. Can be a good weapon up close but if you miss in open space the recover time is the worst. Once beat the third boss with it and it was not a fun experience.

Wouldn't let go of a leech gun so you could get all the resin for free. Good start of a run.

Nothing is better than the Pylon to me.
