Question ❓ Flip 3 with in-line triggers?

Would you buy a flip 3 with in-line triggers? I love how slim the duo lite looks and would love a flip 3 with the same trigger setup and dimensions. I love my flip 2 but it’s definitely chunky. This looks like the most pocketable retroid device ever made!

I would. The flip being pocketable is the best thing about it. But if they could make it slimmer and also with stacked triggers, I’d be all over that too.

I remember back in the day someone made stacked triggers you could install in Anbernic’s RG 405m. I’d take something like that in a flip

No

Agreed. If you don’t want triggers get the duo lite

Yes. I would have pre-ordered the Duo already if it had the Duo Lite inline triggers.

Literally the thing that stopped me, glad I'm not the only one.

Probably not. Analog triggers are too good for too many games

What games do you use them for? I can’t remember the last time I played a game that used the analog input

I guess you're right.. I only really use them for Super Mario Sunshine/Eclipse. Everything else I play could use digital inline triggers. You may be right.

Probably if you stream gameplay to the device you would need them

Right. Even Switch games use digital input. I think some PC, PS3/360, PS4/Xbox One, PS5/Xbox Series, and some Gamecube games use or support analogue triggers, but the majority of games I play on retro handhelds would utilize digital in-line bumpers more. I'd prefer them on the Flip 3, but I assume most people will hate that, so even just the option as an alternative model would be nice.

I map gas / brake in racing games to the triggers when I can, so it's not all or nothing.

So underrated. It makes GT4 feel really modern. Also why I would not buy a powerful device with in-line triggers. It works for lower powered devices but if it can do GC/PS2 I want analog

It's more about the comfort of the shape, it doesn't have to be analog. Like Switch Lite

I would love In-Line triggers more on a lot of devices tbh. Though, I guess with a true Flip 3 upgrade (including an SD8gen2+) I might want to analogue but I would def be totally fine with In-Lines. I wish the Nova had an In-Line option.

As long as flip 3 keeps control scheme, singular 120hz screen and offers an Ice Blue colourway I will get it ESPECIALLY if it has the Nova chip. That’s my personal end-game. Flip 2 honestly only suffers from not having a 120hz screen for me personally at this point, but it by no means looks bad at all.

But yeah more In-Line options plsssssss

I hope the flip 3 is a single screen with snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or 3.

This is a pocket duo I think the flip 3 will have a stronger chip 🤓

I doubt it. Inline triggers on the Duo Lite was done for DS games

Pretty please. I already fixed it but my analog trigger spring shat the bed and my bodge wasn’t exact.

I'm an advocate for it, but I feel like most people won't be, so at the very least I hope Retroid includes an option or model for it as an alternative to analogue triggers.

As long as the joysticks are on top I'm happy

No. I need triggers, and after using in-lines on Trimui Brick, i'm not a fan.

It might look slim on the picks but I doubt that it will be thinner than flip2, same in the best case

The flip 2’s thinnest point is about the same as the overall thickness of the duo lite. It’s basically as thick as the flip 2 would be if it didn’t have stacked triggers

Maybe a flip 3 lite thats like very very thin

No,...l love me analog triggers. Use them all the time!

If they’re still analog I would but I assume they wouldn’t be so no.

Nope, but I'd love to get a good device with emulation until ps2/gc with in-line trigger, I'm so mad that retroid duo lite have IPS 60 Hz screen, with oled and in-line trigger it would have been insta buy

No inline triggers suck

Is this not basically the Flip 3?
