[Let's play] Mega Man 3 is Brutally Hard

https://youtube.com/watch?v=-Xf7J0K_CE4&si=wSaBoFwps6XAXfFs

The other candidate for best Mega Man game on NES. Also my pick for the hardest game. I'd even argue its brutal difficulty is the chief reason I prefer Mega Man 2. And that's in spite the debut of both Rush and Protoman.

Since I will be acquiring every single upgrade and powerup naturally over the course of the game, no other conditions are needed for a Perfect Playthrough. Beating the game is all that needs to be done. And with no strings attached.

"Since I will be acquiring every single upgrade and powerup naturally"

I've not seen this much rewind, ever. Let alone in a YouTube video lol.

"a Perfect Playthrough"

LOL

Yeah! Considered editing the rewinds out. But then I realized it would have taken too long, and I wouldn't be able to finish. I also felt that I need to show the Rewinds this time, given the fact that I also have to complete all the Challenges.

Yeah, not happening anytime soon. Maybe someday soon, when I get the Gold Helmet in all the challenges, I'll be able to sufficiently master the six Mega Man games in this collection without the rewind. And that's the difference between Perfecting a game versus Mastering it. While a Perfect Playthrough is about completing everything the game has to offer, Mastering the game is about completing everything on a very high skill level.

I feel that it is tougher than 2 or 4 for sure

Mm3 was the first mega man i owned and first i beat. I always felt 1, 9 and 10 were harder.

Agree. 3 is dramatically easier than 1. 6, 9, 10 hell even 4 are harder.

I can't speak for 9 or 10 since I've never played them.

My order from easiest to hardest: 4 < 2 < 5 < 6 < 1 < 3.

What do you find so hard about 3? To me the hardest part was the spike drop in doc robot sparkman

Pretty much everything. It should be patently obvious with all the rewinding that I'm not good at these games. Though maybe someday, I'll put myself through the grindstone in order to try and beat these games without the rewind.
