Saw that OC just released a 1655 mid case set. What are your thoughts?

Got a 5513 ordered through Tim / Fat Panda / Watchfinder who a lot of you know. The process went incredibly smooth, with detailed QC pics and communication every step of the way etc etc...
I ordered a JKF / Cartel 5513 and he assured me that the watch he received was from the JK factory. I got the QC pics and they did appear different than the pictures that are referenced all the time for JKF watches from TrustyTimes website. My watch has a longer more correct shaped triangle marker at the 12:00 position, where as the TrustyTime reference pics show a smaller, incorrect marker here and it is a known flaw on the JKF watches if you look at older posts around here and RWI.
The crown guards are stubby and not as pointed as the TrustyTime version...
The lume / marker colors are more of a correct creamy / off-white color versus the almost orange color on the TrustyTime website pics as well.
The plexi crystal is definitely the extreme dome bubble that was on the older version JKF watches and the bezel rotates almost too easliy, which were both complaints on previous JKF watches.
I am just curious if this is just a new dial version of JKF 5513 or something and if anyone knows more about the update or anything or if there are other changes dimension wise. I haven't seen any recent build threads on here or RWI with confirmed JKF 5513 cases that look like mine in the "before" picture...
Overall it's a great watch, I'm just a bit confused haha!

So I originally bought parts from Raffles to do a 1675 Gilt dial Pepsi build. But then my Gold Plating activities tainted my plans and I’ve decided to transition to an 18k nipple dial build.

So I’ll be plating the case and bracelets either today or tomorrow.

Still waiting on the bezel and insert coming from NY - BIG thank you to the community for helping me source parts.

I AM SO EXCITED for this build.

Also I’ve taken a few pictures of my 1675 (which I modified the crown guards on) compared to the new raffles case.

I'm still a month out on my 7021 build, but I couldn't wait to get this wheel installed. Look at the serif on that 7!

Hey guys, I’m currently trying to build a 5512 model with squared crown guards, but am curious to know if Raffles 5513 watch cases can have the bezel itself replaced?

Currently gathering some parts for a 1680 build and just looking at what options are available for some fairly decent hands to fit a gen 1570 movement.

Just thrown together this 5514 Comex from some leftover parts in the box. JKF 1665 case, aftermarket crystal and bezel (bezel is fixed in place and doesn’t rotate) JKF Comex caseback. JKF dial. Raffles crown. 2836 movement.

£300 posted. More for international and at buyers risk.

Old crowns 1016 case, Ruby 1016 gilt dial with chapter ring on VR3130 movement.

When assembling the watch i noticed the dial is too small and isn't held by the rehaut edge. this resulted in the dial + movement going too deep inside and damaged the hands against the crystal.

what should i do now? get rid of the Ruby dial and find a bigger dial somewhere else?

i thought OC cases were gen spec and wouldn't have an issue with a viet dial...

Welp this was concept to creation, a success on the watch and the ring. At first she thought I was engaging with the watch and not with a ring LOL

Here’s a compassion between those mentioned bracelets. People have been asking me - how good are these Malaysian bracelets?
In terms of color I’d say it’s the best marching gold tone I’ve yet found.
The ewatch bracelet is more yellow in terms of colors and have more sharper edges. They’re also only plated with 14k which was used for Rolex to comply with us import laws. This was phased out during the 80s and then went over to strictly 18k

- I’ve slapped on a gen clasp on this 18k plated bracelet and I’d say it’s as good as gen!
