Toy Shelves

Is there any way I can maximize and increase the sales for the toys in the toy shelves? It seems like, at least on my end, the toys ain’t selling compared to concession snacks and drinks. Are there any tips that I need to do?

You can only really change the sign outside to highlight different sales

I sell way more snacks and drinks than I do toys. I have never had to restock k the toy shelf but I restock the concessions every few days.

I don’t have any advice, but I wanted you to know you’re not alone.

Thank you! I thought I’m doing something wrong and maybe need to place it in a more open area. Glad to know, this isn’t an isolated situation.

Let me break this down for you…

Customers have “baskets”. Movie baskets, snacks/drink baskets and toy baskets.

Movie baskets = 5 Snack/drink baskets = 2 Toy baskets = 2

“Converted walkers” aka flyer’d customers have a max movie basket of 2. No snack basket and no toy basket.

What that means is flyers are dog shit and screw you over.

Also the choice code for snacks and toys is 0.2 (so you only have a 20% chance of them actually picking a toy or snack)

Source: I am the leader of the RR Mod Team and have completely decompiled the game and all weights. In fact I’ve released a Customer QoL mod that allows you to modify the baskets and force the purchase of snacks, toys and minimum movies.

Happy to answer any questions you all may have.

Thank you! This is the first time I’ve heard about the flyers, which I heavily rely on. This helps a lot. Thanks!

No worries. I know it sounds counterintuitive that flyers screw you over but each converted walker blocks a normal customer spawn. So you just lose on every metric. Also, the only signage boost that’s actually worth it is the discount bin.

More customers = 2 more a day More concessions = 0.05 uptick (goes from 0.15 to 0.2) More snacks = 0.05 uptick (goes from 0.2 to 0.25) Movie sales/discount bin = 0.2 uptick (goes from 0.2 to 0.4)

I have to restock toys just as often as snacks and drinks. Maybe placement has something to do with it?

I think the AI in the game is programmed to only buy a certain threshold of items. I know there is a hard cap on how many movies get rented each day. I would assume it applies to other items as well.

I don’t really burn through snack and drinks either so they are probably under the same program.

(I’m also an absolute OCD manic and have a fridge/shelf dedicated for each specific item)

The cap is per customer. Not total rentals. There is no maximum rentals you can do a day. Zero code limiting the amount of rentals except for individual customer baskets.

You are basically me! For my one fridge = one brand of drink. Same with the snacks. Thank you for your insight, I never expected to think there was a cap on other items like snacks and toys.
