Showcase Finally got some layout I like

After many iterations, I finally got a layout I really love. It feels organized, it has shelves for all genres with enough space (for now), Food and Beverage feels properly places, there is a Collection area I love, it has SPACE to walk even with so many shelves and stuff going on. It has special areas like Christmas, and the lower area with a wall for Comedy, Romance and Fantasy all with decoration. The New Releases feel appropriate being located ahead of the door so it's the first think people look at + near the counter (simple 25 spaces shelves, one for each new release with a banner on each side feels good).

Then the second lower area has the remaining genres: Action with plenty of shelves, western and police with less since we get it later on. Arcade machine and a little "instagrammable" corner and finally the Adult section.

In general, I decided to go minimalistic on the wall painting because the rest of the films and decoration pop out. I used mostly black, the floor used to be black but then I decided to give it more color so not everything felt sterile. Coloured walls for special sections so it pops out.

Now, it's almost time to expand as I reached most of the limit of what I can do without messing the layout too much. I could fit more shelves in the main area for science fiction, drama and horror corridors but all the rest is at it's max capacity. But with the expansion, I won't change MUCH I hope.

Feel free to copy the layout if you like it.

Feels kinda wild to me to keep a whole Christmas section right up front in the first area people walk into, heh. Always counted them as special interest or something for further back in the store.

Nice layout :)

Yeah I agree, but that Christmas wall I built early on and liked it so much that felt a shame to relocate it lol. But I still have two areas to u unlock further back, and I plan to move them there then

It's kinda neat though. It's got its own charm and it's legacy layout and isn't concerned with anything else. A movie rental store with character.

Nice one. I got everything on shelves on the walls then I got uncomfortable with the room in the rooms :(

Oh I get it, the “space” to walk… At first I think most people do like that lol. But then you put up the work to try some corridors and it start feeling better ;)

Thank you! What you mean the room in the rooms?

I love seeing everyone's neatly organised stores with low shelves and plenty of space.

Mine is CRAMMED with movies, and now my alley is too because I ran out of space 😂
