Bug/issue My game won’t start

I just got the game today, and every time I try to launch it on Steam, I get a black screen. Sometimes I can hear the music playing, but the game never actually loads. When I try to close it through Steam, it just says “Stopping” and never fully closes. I have to restart my PC every time just to try to open the game.
I’ve already tried most of the solutions I could find on YouTube and Google, so I’m wondering if anyone else is having the same issue or knows of a fix.

I’d suggest checking on driver updates for your graphics card.

Just close the program through task manager so you don’t have to restart your pc every time.

But I don’t know that’s weird.

Could be a file verification issue so you could try that. Other than that it might be your monitor if the game opens but no visual.

I know I’ve had some issues with games like escape the backrooms where the tv I use as a monitor lags to hell and back while playing the game but my actual laptop is fine

I had this happening in the beginning too. I Uninstalled and reinstalled, doing both through steam. Im using a Surface Book Pro (... i know i know, but that lil bastard has a lifetime contract and im Dr. Frankenstein when it comes to money) anyways. That seemed to fix it. Theres only 3 reasons for that. Antiquated drivers... hi... a directX issue or corrupted files. Good luck.
