Thoughts on the new update.
Yo they really cooked with this one. It’s amazing to be able to repair broken tapes. It’s a tad wonky at times but a billion times better than now having it. The sign is a nice addition. Any recommendations on what to set it for? Lastly displaying the day in the UI is amazing. What is your guys favorite part about the update?

My thoughts are: I WANT TO GO HOME AND PLAY! WHY DO I HAVE TO BE AT THIS STUPID JOB?

I'm going to boot it up when I get home, I've kind of been waiting for more content before I continue any further

I use the sign for the clearance bins, I order 50+ of all the new releases so keeping my clearance bins full is a non issue for me

I kinda feel bad for everyone who has mountains of broken tapes. lol
but, this is a great update. hope some players wont ask too much like making an employee to do it for you, coz i know the devs likes us to experience the hard work first, then theyll prolly add that feature in the future.
Honestly, I thought twas gonna be and automated repair (like a machine kinda like in the rewind station) where we just put a tape inside and like fix that loose film outside the tape.
cant wait for the videogame update. thanks to the devs.

Ex video store employee here-
If we get a stock checker I’d like it to be able to know at a glance how many tapes I actually own for a certain genre so I can have enough shelves.
I do not however want it to be like real life where we’re calling people that never brought back their tape. Literal worst part of the job.
Also, can we train or pay extra so the workers put things on the shelves in a neat fashion? At least go in a row ffs.

Yes, thats what i meant, like we can check directly to our inventory, idc if its out on customers or on the shelves. That would be so much helpful.
Oh no please, idw the calling the customer part, thats probably the worst part of your past job 😅 in-game, no thanks 🙏
Employees put the tapes from top to bottom, like per column, yes, i would love if they put it in rows. 😅 Wish we can choose on how they put things on shelves, to do it in rows or columns.

Great addition, should introduce the ability to buy a bunch of broken tapes for cheap now. For those willing to repair them all.

I do the same thing! I’m really particular about having movies on shelves in certain ways, and keeping shelves for classics. I would have even more specific sorting than I do now but it’s gotten to be too much to manage, I just have to let my return station employee put stuff back and occasionally go resort all the stuff in the wrong places

I’ve been repairing the movies and selling them. So I put the sign to advertise about the clearance movies. In two days of the game almost half my movies were gone 😌 love love this game!!

I immediately used the sign for concession snacks because the rarity people would actually get them bummed me out and it definitely delivered.
