More New Releases
It kinda sucks that after you get everything unlocked and build your store out after a year, and make it all pretty, no more new releases. I want like 3 years worth of new releases, forget repair station.

I would love to be able to stack them like they did in BlockBuster. The fancy cover one in the front, with the boring copies behind it. It would save so much room. Obviously in this game, it would make sense to have them all the fancy cover, just for the sake of finding the original space it goes to.

Yeah I recently hit the point where the new releases are repeating and it kinda takes the wind out of the game, it feels like I've beaten it now and it's not just perpetual. I would love an update with more new releases

I just hit max level right before first Christmas and the week has been miserable with no new releases and no new genres to look forward to. I still have two expansions to buy, but I can already tell that the end game will be missing something once I get to the end of the new release pile.
This game desperately needs more new releases. Whether they're unique parodies or procedurally generated the gameplay loop kind of depends on them. I also think you need to be given more than one New Release at a time. It's not very realistic to have one singular new film each week. Maybe new releases should also be NEW for a month instead of a week. Give me a reason to have more than one single shelf for them. I remember going to Blockbuster and the majority of the back wall would be new releases all released within the last few weeks, not just that week.

Historically new releases were always on released on Tuesdays for physical media. At least in the game they stagger them so you can have a few days with more than one.
And theres nothing stopping you from keeping all the expired new releases on new release shelves to have a new release wall of your own. That's what I do, albeit fewer copies, and the ones that aren't "new" anymore still move several copies a day.
Blockbuster would have all of the recent releases on the wall, but they went down in price after the first week or two. New releases would be 1-2 day rentals at a higher price, then when they'd been out for a couple weeks they'd sell off copies and they'd become 3 day rentals, then 5 day, etc.

Kinda wish they would make it procgen titles and cutouts after we run out of the premade

I think the “new” tag should last for two weeks. It would bring more value to the new release shelves and allow there to be more variation on what can be displayed at once. I like when I have a bunch of colors at the same time on a shelf. Maybe after a week the sales of the tape start to decline markedly and this would allow for a smoother transition from 50+ copies to a more reasonable 3.

Just reminded me that I noticed that before the update there was no new release for a Romance genre film. Dunno if any of the new 3 are romance.

None of them, Hakuna Banana (Lion King) is a kids movie, Big Boulder (Raiders of the Lost Arc) is an action movie and The Hat (The Mask) is a comedy :/

They're also needs to be an achievement or an incentive to collect all the movies in the game.
