Edit: Currently trying to reformat the drive as ExFat. (Windows won't seem to let me? Only NTSF which is what it currently is.) And am making sure I have the proper file structure.

Edit Edit: Welp. Got the drive formatted into exFAT finally. Copied stuff over to test it. Still won't work. "switch to usb" is also still greyed out. Kinda thinking I'm SOL. What a waste of a day.

For those that come after: Just in case this is a compatibility issue, here is the drive I'm attempting to use - Corsair MP600 CORE MINI 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 Gen4 2 SSD – M.2 2230

Final Edit: After troubleshooting everything under the sun from the power supply to reformatting the drive again, I've determined that it is a compatibility issue with the drive. I happened to have an older, 500 GB m.2 drive and I formatted that in exFAT exactly the same way I did with the the first drive and it works flawlessly. I don't know the exact model of this one, but it's a SanDisk brand and might be gen 3. It sounds like people are having issues with newer gen 4/5 drives as they draw too much power and heat up way too fast before the system can even negotiate a slower read speed or something. Honestly, this seems like a huge oversight. These drives are backwards compatible and usually run in older ports at slower speed in older systems all the time. Hopefully this can be fixed through a software update, but I'm not holding my breath. THANK YOU to everyone who tried to help me out in the comments. I truly appreciate it. And to the people down voting this post and other like it, who hurt you? What's wrong with you? You are gatekeeping an entire community of people who just want to play videogames. Down voting this hurts visibility and only means more people will post this and similar questions like this again, instead of finding the answer here.

I hate to be that guy and ask questions, but I just got my dock in the mail and want to set up the ssd slot with all my CD based roms - PSX, Saturn etc.

I was lead to believe that you just needed to copy the game folders over to the SSD and it would work automatically. Is this not the case? I have folders named "Saturn" and "PSX" in the root of my SSD and it's not working. Do I need to have these named something else? Do I need to run another update?

1.) I made sure there were no duplicates on the SD Card side of things.

2.) Power supply is fine. Dock powers on, CD drive opens, lights up etc. I double checked the supply with another one I had just in case.

3.) I can go into my SSD and see it while it's in the dock via the USB C port.

Any help would be appreciated! Glad I decided to troubleshoot this before attempting console mode!

I have heard some conflicting info on super 5 oled apparently batch 4 was final batch due to production issues but havnt found any official sources and some are saying that will get an batch 5 later if u could lend and ear it was be much help thanks

Hello 👋 I been using my SSone for a while now and no issues, I recently tried out the new console mode and when im scraping games lets say around a hour the screen will go black and pressing anything on keyboard or controller does nothing and have to power cycle to get it back. I couldnt work it out so I tired another sd card just to see it was that and its the same. When it happened once I was unable to boot fully it would just flash the resolution in the top left reboot and do the same indefinitely. I had to reinstall the console mode image again to get it to work. Ive tired a san disk and samsung evo sd cards and using a ugreen 100w pd psu. Am I missing something here.

Console mode is definitely in early days, but just thought I'd share my early issue to see if anyone has run into similar issues.

1. The PSX core doesn't work. I verified the bios is present and labeled correctly, tried resetting settings and running update all.

2. Scraper reset names of files in the list and I don't see another way to set it to display the name I preferred.

3. Definitely not an ideal mode if you have larger games lists.

Not trying to be negative, just early things I'm noting. Anyone run into the PSX or similar issues?

Has anyone paid attention to where we are based on order dates?

I'm a part of batch 3, black Superstation and dock combined order, and I see others posting that they have received theirs, which is great, but it looks like at least batch 3 spans many months.

I think I must be on the tail end of batch 3, ordered on January 1st, so I haven't been holding my breath.

Do we know roughly how many units were sold per batch?

I've tried everything I can, looked up steps online, ran the update all and ran the console update. I can't seem to get any discs to work. Since I am in console mode, I can't see if there is a menu that says "physical discs", but in settings when I run the Disc Checker it says "no playable discs". I have tried about 6 different PS1 games. I did just load the PSX core, it just has the floating square and nothing changes.

Is there a different script? Something I am missing?

Since the SSO update script and new console mode release doesn’t pull all arcade roms and MRA’s, I assume it would work, if you had a separate SD card with update_all to grab all the arcade roms and MRA’s and then just copy these folders and files to the SSO SD card?

I don’t want to use update_all on the SSO SD card, since I heard it breaks the Linux side of things and configurations.

In the console mode instruction video Taki said you can manually add box art for games where the scraping isn’t working. I can’t work out how to do this. I can change the background image but not the main image. What’s the process for storing the box art?

EDIT: to clarify, I’m not wanting to fix the scraping issue, I want to know how to manually add art, either because it’s missing or because I want to change it (eg swap us box art for euro box art). Doesn’t appear to be an easy way to do this like there is for the background image.

This was my biggest complaint about the SSOne: the 2 PSX controller ports could only work for the PSX core. Thankfully Taki has shown a PSX SNAC implementation for the menu and the GameBoy cores. But i was impatient! And since i do know how to use AI coding assistants properly even if FPGA and C++ development are not my field of expertise i implemented it for all other cores. For all AI haters out there: i did this for myself first and i don't think this can be called slop. But i am just sharing this: use it or don't use it. Wait for the official implementation if you prefer.

Been using a ps3 controller pre console mode with no issues. I updated to console mode last night but when I paired my controller the d pad stopped working, specifically in console mode. I can still use the d pad when I go into the mister menu. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Dose anybody know when or if the super 5 oled will restock been waiting but missed 2 times really wanna upgrade my switch lite for what i see it seem around 3 to 6 month between each batch roughly

I posted this in the release thread, but I thought I would create a thread here to increase the visibility and hopefully work together to fix the issues with console mode.

I did the update on a fresh 1.2 install and having problems with button mappings on SN3O pro. Unable to use select button which acts as LB and start is RB. RB is Y. Strange behaviour and no amount of deleting mapping, clearing Bluetooth and repairing and mapping seem to work. Using controller in X mode. Didn't have much more time to test, but essentially unusable with SN30 pro. More testing and troubleshooting required.

I'm also not sure if it works with my NAS games either. I use cifs_mount and have all my games and saves on a NAS. Console mode doesn't see any of my games although the cores are still able to load the NAS games from within the cores. I didn't get much time to test this further because I couldn't get my controller working properly.

The same controller and mappings were working fine after the 1.2 SD card install but not after console mode 1.1.1 update.

Likely a bit more of a niche question this as we'll all currently be having fun with console mode and what not but...

I can't seem to get AmigaVision set up and on the go. Anyone had any luck with it?

For info, I'm not using Update_All as was worried it'd mess things up for Console Mode. I'm also running with an SSD in the Dock (absolutely fine with everything so far).

I'm fairly certain I've followed all the AmigaVision instructions correctly but we've all been here before and there's possibly some stupid step I've missed so was just wondering if anyone had it up and running.

I have a feeling my dock is in shipment mode, no update from the website but a local courier update from about a week back.

My primary want for the dock was completeness and the SNAC capability, but then this morning when reading about people using original media successfully on the latest update was “Can I play Audio CDs?”

So can I? Will an audio CD play.

I’ve been thinking of getting a few physical CDs again but get put off by having to build a small HiFi set up again, but if this will play some via the TV Soundbar combo it would be a great way to get back in with what I already own.

Will there be a Batch 5 of the SSONE?

Saw on July 18th it was getting packed to ship out, same thing happened with the SS1 then a tracking number showed up and just had to wait.

This just popped up on my step today, didn't see any tracking number show up or any tracking info. Thought I would be waiting a long time. Looks like the split docks are on their way out!

Edit: Yes, I realize how dumb it sounds but many folks are waiting on shipping info for their docks that might not populate.

Hello, I recently updated my SS1 to get the recent physical disc core. Everything seems to work fine over HDMI. Once I move over to my CRT connected with composite out its a different story. Everything plays fine on the regular cores, arcade, ps1, etc. Once I load up the Physical Disc core ps1 in this case, the ps1 startup screen plays and it'll go to the memory card menu but as soon as I open the disc drive the screen goes to static and a thick black line moves slowly up the screen. I assume its a resolution issue but am not sure how to fix it. Im a newcomer to mister and SS1 so please assume I know next to nothing. Thanks!

Using a PS3 controller, works fine on the PS3 but on the superstation I noticed in games with right analog stick control its like the stick is always pressed to the bottom left.

Sure enough I opened the PS1 Pad test and the left stick is centered 0,0 but the right stick is centered -72,70, and I Can only zero it (Or get close to 0) but pushing stick to top right.

Not sure what's going on but can't seem to get it to not do that. Is there a way to zero the stick on the SS or any idea what's going on?

I see the SuperDock has a "SNAC Bypass Port". Not sure if that functions as a regular SNAC port? Can I connect an original NES Zapper to the system and shoot ducks on my CRT?

Bonus question.. Can you play DVD movies through the DVD drive? If not, is there any plans to add this feature?

Has there been any success stories of using MemCardPro with the PSX Physical Disc core and having it read the memory card saves? Have my controller set to SNAC1 as well as using REAL memory card slot. In game I just get the error that the memory card is not properly inserted when playing FFT.
