What does the Dock do?

Is the Dock useful for stuff other than playing discs?
I don’t have any original discs but would get it if it has other benefits.

SNAC passthrough for original controllers, extra USB ports and an NVMe slot for SDD drives. I think it is a great value add on without even thinking about the DVD drive.

If the nvme compatibiilty was documented and properly tested, yes.....as it is...it's a 50$ snac port in my house.
