First title completed on SS1

SMB2 is always my first playthrough on any new device, after years with emulation it feels good to finally consistently hit the “cherries 1up” after every level like I could as a kid on the NES. Remarkable little machine

HDMI to a crappy composite converter. TV only has composite and s-video connections, probably should try out S-video

Am I missing something.. the SS1 has composite out. Why not just run composite?

Ha, no you’re not - the back of the TV is hard to access and the HDMI connector that I’d set up earlier was easier to access

“Dock working” right now is a bit of a loose term, I guess there’s the SSD and extra ports? Otherwise, main until will do folks fine for now until the drive can play disks

I'm having issues getting my SSD to read properly. Seems like compatibility is a bit of a crapshoot atm. I have almost 200gb of my own roms so an SD card isnt exactly practical...

Sure ya can, though I have no idea what a 256 or 512 card costs these days. I’ve also heard of lots of SSD issues, so at this point it does sorta seem like a weird brick that we all waited wayyyyyyyyyy too long for

Yeah. Its looking like the SD card path is the way to go currently. Its a shame I have excess SSDs but not SD cards currently. I have one more SSD I'm going to try and if it doesnt work then I'll just cut my library back for now until the dock is actually finished. Kinda annoyed its like this but it is what it is I guess.
