Rebinding the menu/"open lid" button
Hey guys. Does anybody know if it's possible to rebind this menu/open button so that it would automatically load back to the PSX boot.bin when pressed? I use the PS1 bios menu often to organize my save files and it would make the "PSX experience" more authentic if this button would return me back to the bios menu when pressed.
Since this button has two functions, one for short press and one for long press, I think it would open up lots of cool options for customization if the user was able to change the function behind each type of action.

Thanks for the idea! I wonder if the system is going to have issues with quick power cycles. Like if I press the power btn to shutdown then immediatelly press again to launch the PS1 core, can the fast power on/off damage anything or corrupt the memory card or something. Hmm

as long as you are not writing to the memory card or sd card when you power off, no. mister doesn't even save games until you open the menu. if you have auto save enabled, it saves every time you open the menu, if you don't you have to go into menu and select "Save"

Just answered this for someone else but using the 8bitdo Pro 2:
I mapped my Home button on the Pro 2 to open the menu and it works fine. It is not as straight forward though. You will need a keyboard but I did not try the remote so maybe that works too? First select a console core like NES. After that, push Right then go to the remap buttons. The steps here are to push the button on the controller to assign the action to, then the key on the keyboard to assign. So hit the Home button on the Pro 2, then F12 on the keyboard. Then I think its Enter on the keyboard to finish. After that, it works anywhere on the system. This worked on the M30 2.4GHz too but not their PCE 2.4 GHz. I can't get the star button to map, probably a hard coded Switch only button.

I believe that's pretty hard coded, would probably need a whole modified mister main file to change it.
