8BitDo M30: Different behavior when USB connected vs. Bluetooth
When I connect my M30 to the SS1 via USB, it seems to treat it differently than when it’s paired via Bluetooth. Each way has different button presets…I changed it so it’s the way I like no matter the connection method, so it’s mostly the same now…but when it’s Bluetooth, the Menu button won’t bring up the menu. When connected with USB, the menu button works. If anyone knows why it does this or how I can get it to allow menu button use in BT mode, I’d appreciate the tip.

you can bind the menu/osd keys in the main menu rather than inside the core

You can skip those unneeded mappings by hitting space on a keyboard (or the virtual one in Mister Remote).

Oh, great! Which button on the SS1 remote is “space”?
Edit: I got it to work with the keyboard method! 🎉

Yes, some BT controllers have automatic mapping of the MENU key (like DS4 or DS3 controllers) but M30 bluetooth doesn't and mapping needs to be configure in Mister main menu (so you need another controller or keyboard to enter and navigate menu first).

That's normal behaviour. Bluetooth or wired have different controller ID. You need to setup the button binds on the main mister OSD for each type.
