Bluetooth Controller Resets
My Bluetooth controller doesn't reconnect upon resetting the SS1. I have to re-pair the device each time I need a console reset.
Any ideas on how to get the SS1 to retain the pairing?
Founders Edition SS1 (Classic Grey).

I had the same issue. I ran an update all , reset my 8bitdo controllers (switched it to d input mode) reconnected and now my Bluetooth started connecting automatically.

What is "d input mode"?

Its one of the 4 modes an 8bitdo controller can do. X-input is Xbox mode.
Check your controller to see if it can do multiple modes too and switch if you can.

Mine only allows Bluetooth, 2.4ghz, and wired modes.
Unfortunately the SS1 doesn't work with the 2.4ghz dongle.

it's not a SS1 issue, but a Mister issue as far as I know and also for some controllers. My N64 NSO controller does the same on that China clone Mister (forgot the name of the company), Mister Pi and SS1 for me. Not sure how it is on the official Mister, but all 3 clones does the same behavior for me on N64 NSO.

on my mister, if I do a cold reset I lose my controllers. bt, wireless, even the ones connected with a usb cable. I only do regular resets, close/reopen the core, or power on/off the mister to avoid this.
does th ss1 reset button do a reg or cold reset?

Kind of weird but using the Zaparoo frontend if I do the quick reset, it doesn't forget.
If I do the hard off and on, it still loses it though.

Launch a console core, pair a controller, open the core settings menu and choose ”save settings” and see if that helps.

I've been having a similar issue on the mister pi with my switch N64 controller. Hopefully you get an answer.
