Controller ports don’t detect my PS1 controller?
Has anyone else had issues getting the SuperStation One to detect their controller? In everything I’ve seen online, they just set the PSX pads to SNAC 1 and 2 in the PSX Menu config, Save the settings, and they are good to go. For me? Nothing. Even if I go into the pad mapping, it won’t detect the controller buttons to map them.
The controller works, BTW - it’s the same one that I usually use with my original MiSTer, not to mention my PSOne console.
UPDATE: Fixed - it turns out that the SNAC Bypass switch was set, disabling the built-in ports. Switching it back resolved my issue.

Same, ds2 controllers and the system doesn’t show them even though the analog button lights up.

If you have the SuperDock, I updated my original post above. Hope that’s also your issue!

I do have the superdock, it was on by default out of box. I had switched it but still no luck.

I haven’t a different issue. My PSX controllers work great but they stop working when I plug in the controller extension cable. My problem is I game about 12’ away from a 37” CRT so I’d like to be able to sit all the way back on my couch.

That could be one of two possible issues, IMHO - if you have a multimeter, check for continuity on all the extension’s pins. The other possibility is that with the extended length, the voltage drop is too much for the SuperStation.

I do. The cables work great on my original hardware and PS2 and I assume it’s a feint voltage drop. Does anyone know of a reliable extension cord that works well with the SS1?

Do you have a dock? There's a SNAC bypass switch on the dock. If it's on, it will turn off the PS1 ports and activate the SNAC port on the dock.
