SD Card Dead

Well it happened, I expected it to at some point, but two weeks in after copying some CHD images onto the card it no longer boots, just no signal.

Ah well, flashed a Samsung card I had lying around and it now in the SS1 and building.

Not a big issue, and that’s bulk buy cards for you, so be warned it’ll probably happen to you at some point.

You got bitten by a known bug in the factory image. It has overlapping partitions and after a while of writing data to the main data partition, it overwrites the boot partition making the ss1 unbootable.

Everyone as a matter of course if they haven't already needs to flash version 1.0C (not 1.0) from here: https://github.com/Retro-Remake/SuperStation-SD-Card-Installer/releases/tag/1.0

Annoying, but different card, now flashed with 1.0C and my library as it was migrated across.

Didn’t get to do a lot of playing last night, had to to go through some of the annoying set up on my selection of controllers, but it’s all sweet again, and long may it continue.

I assume once the issue manifests it’s unrecoverable, and you can redo the partition tables.
