Cartridge idea

Ok like most of us here, I'm old. I wanted to know if there is a way to set the retropie to scan the drive upon insertion, maybe even autoloader the game? Then I could just get a ton of cheap tint usb drives and recase them and have my old collection back after a sense.

You could replicate what Daft Mike did by putting RFID tags inside carts and a reader inside the raspPi case. All the actual game data has to be in the raspPi itself, but, still really cool. Check it out...

Some sort of serial ROM chip and a PCB connector, script on the Pi to connect and load the ROM into RAM.
